The black Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity and LEMO 3-Pin Connector for Wisycom Transmitters is a subminiature lav microphone designed to deliver clear, full-bodied sound and reliable performance, making it a popular choice among industry professionals in broadcast, TV, theater, film, videography, and more.

Engineered to meet the standards of modern digital wireless microphone systems, the COS-11D is RF shielded to eliminate interference issues and ensure a pristine audio signal. The microphone capsule features a rectangular design that sits vertically, increasing the surface area and allowing this tiny mic to offer a rich, full sound that outperforms many larger models.

The mic's 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response rolls-off extreme low end and provides accurate, transparent audio reproduction with a small presence boost in the 6 kHz area for crisp, intelligible speech. With a forgiving omnidirectional polar pattern that picks up sound in a 360° pattern, levels stay consistent, even when the subject turns away from the mic.

A water-resistant mesh screen protects against humidity, perspiration, makeup, bad weather, and other potential on-location issues, while the durable cable is also moisture-resistant and built to stay soft and pliable, even after extended use. This version of the COS-11D terminates in a 3-pin LEMO connector and is wired for use with Wisycom transmitters. Accessories are available separately and are not included with this configuration of the microphone.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use this mic to convert spoken word to text on an iPhone 12 much like SIRI does?

A: Yes, when connected to an iPhone, the Polsen MO-IPL2 Lavalier Microphone with Lightning Connector and Headphone Jack for iOS Devices will replace the phone's internal microphone but should function with applications in the same manner otherwise.

Q: 2. can this connect to an Iphone 14 Pro max?

A: Yes, the RODE Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder can be connected to an iPhone by using the RODE SC15 Lightning USB Type-C to Lightning Accessory Cable (B&H # ROSC15).

Q: 3. Latency?

A: 3.5ms-4.2ms

Q: 4. is this compatible with go pro hero 7?

Q: 5. What's the impedance on the headphone connector?

A: This headset connection on this mic would be best used with a headphone around 32 ohms.

Q: 6. Does this has extreme wether proof design and RF rejection like NTG3 and Senn MKH416?

A: The Sanken is fairly robust in adverse weather, but it is not weather-proofed. Its directionality is comparable depending on the environment.

Q: 7. I realize this question was already asked last year, but is there any auto-shut-off feature if I turn the "always" recording feature on? Wouldn't that like not make any sense? Who in their right mind would trust this to always record if it would just shut off after 15 minutes of not being connected to the receiver?

A: When the Rode Wireless GO II Transmitter is set for "Always" recording mode, the transmitter will start recording audio as soon as it is switched on and it will continue recording until it is switched off, regardless of whether or not it is connected to the Wireless GO II Receiver. This feature makes the Wireless GO II Transmitter suitable for use as a standalone field recorder. Additionally, when used in "Always" record mode, the mute function will not affect the on-board recording but it will mute the ability to transmit audio wirelessly.

Q: 8. Hi, I just ordered this mic a couple weeks ago. So far it has not shown to turn on or record any audio, nor did I receive an instruction manual with it. I have plugged it into my canon 5d mark III and also a Zoom H5 recorder, and both have giving me no sound from the mic and some plug in noise. No levels are shown to record. I have not been able to find any troubleshooting pieces on line. Can you help me?

A: This microphone requires power you need to send it 48V

Q: 9. Does the battery life change significantly when the wired lav mics are connected?

A: No, most lavalier microphones like the Polsen PL-5 Mini Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone operate using a very small amount of voltage and don't require much power from the transmitter. You should not experience any significant changes to battery life when using the PL-5 with the Rode Wireless GO II Mic System.

Q: 10. Does it work with panasonic Lumix S5?

A: Yes The Rode Go will work wth anything that has a 3.5mm microphone input, including the Lumix S5.
