The white Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity and TA4F Connector for Trantec Transmitters is a subminiature lav microphone designed to deliver clear, full-bodied sound and reliable performance, making it a popular choice among industry professionals in broadcast, TV, theater, film, videography, and more.
Engineered to meet the standards of modern digital wireless microphone systems, the COS-11D is RF shielded to eliminate interference issues and ensure a pristine audio signal. The microphone capsule features a rectangular design that sits vertically, increasing the surface area and allowing this tiny mic to offer a rich, full sound that outperforms many larger models.
The mic's 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response rolls-off extreme low end and provides accurate, transparent audio reproduction with a small presence boost in the 6 kHz area for crisp, intelligible speech. With a forgiving omnidirectional polar pattern that picks up sound in a 360° pattern, levels stay consistent even when the subject turns away from the mic.
A water-resistant mesh screen protects against humidity, perspiration, makeup, bad weather, and other potential on-location issues, while the durable cable is also moisture-resistant and built to stay soft and pliable, even after extended use. This version of the COS-11D terminates in a TA4F connector and is wired for use with Trantec transmitters. Accessories are available separately and are not included with this configuration of the microphone.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Looking to use this both on a set and in the field. I would prefer a way to hide the mics when on set, what is the range of quality audio pickup (say if it was placed on the table out of sight) or would it still pick up that quality audio under a jacket or shirt?
A: Any microphone will give you it's best sound when placed closest to the subject you are trying to record avoid having it far from the subject you recording, the best recommendation I can give while using this system is to add a 3.5mm lavalier microphone, lavalier microphones are meant to be used on the subject you recording giving you the best sound and are small making it easy to hide so it's not being seen in the video. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1558252-REG/rode_lavgow_lavalier_go_professional_grade_wearable.html
Q: 2. Will this mic work with a DJI OSMO ACTION (not an Action 2) ?
A: Yes, the Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System's receiver can send signal into the DJI Osmo Action 4K Camera's USB Type-C connection when the DJI CYNOVA Osmo Action Dual 3.5mm/USB-C Adapter (BH #DJOAD35) is also implemented for 3.5mm connection: https://bhpho.to/3Ea0Xym
Q: 3. In the first version, it was easy to clip audio at the transmitter level. Is this the case here, or has this been adjusted?
A: On the bottom of the receiver it has a 3 stage gain control, adjust it as need it. If you would like more control over the gain please use Rode's app that allows you to adjust the level in 3 dB increments from 0 to -30 dB.
Q: 4. Can I use any USB C to USB C cable for recording with an Android phone? Or do I need the cable Rode makes?
A: Any USB cable that will carry data will work.
Q: 5. How does this compare to the rode filmmaker?
A: The Wireless GO II System is more versatile than the Filmmaker Kit and offers more features. The receiver has two separate channels that allow it to be used with two transmitters at the same time, The transmitters also have onboard recorders that can capture up to seven hours of uncompressed 24-bit / 48 kHz WAV audio or 24 hours of compressed audio directly to each transmitter without the need for an SD card. The free Rode Central app (currently for Mac and Windows -- iOS and Android compatibility coming soon) allows you to access the recording features and adjust settings, then export and optimize the recorded files from each transmitter and save them to a computer in various formats such as MP3 or WAV in 16-, 24-, or 32-bit float. The Wireless GO II also uses new patent-pending technology with 128-bit encryption that provides clear audio transmission up to 656 feet (line of sight). It's an impressive system.
Q: 6. What happens when the internal recording media on the mics runs out of space? Can I continue using the mics with the receiver once the recording media is full?
A: The Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder can record up to 40 hours of compressed audio, or up to 7 hours of uncompressed audio. When the internal storage is full, the unit will continue to record, overwriting the oldest recorded block so you always have the most recent audio available, with no need to delete files or format the storage. To ensure you don't lose any audio you haven't saved, we recommend backing up your audio after each recording session.
Q: 7. Could I utilize this for FaceBook lives? What other accessory would I need?
A: Connection cable is 3.5mm. so may need an adaptor for a mobile phone or a computer: iphone: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1280795-REG/apple_mmx62am_a_lightning_to_3_5mm_headphone.html?sts=pi&pim=Y Andoid: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1500030-REG/samsung_ee_uc10juwegus_usb_type_c_to_3_5mm.html Rode Wireless Go In the Box Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder (2.4 GHz, Black) 2 x Clip-On Transmitters Dual-Channel Wireless Receiver 3 x SC20 USB Type-A to USB Type-C Cables SC5 3.5mm TRS Memory Cable 3 x Furry Windshields Carry Pouch Limited 1-Year Warranty, Extendable to 2 Years upon Registration
Q: 8. Hi, I just ordered this mic a couple weeks ago. So far it has not shown to turn on or record any audio, nor did I receive an instruction manual with it. I have plugged it into my canon 5d mark III and also a Zoom H5 recorder, and both have giving me no sound from the mic and some plug in noise. No levels are shown to record. I have not been able to find any troubleshooting pieces on line. Can you help me?
A: This microphone requires power you need to send it 48V
Q: 9. Can you use Rode Wireless Go II if you don't have an external mic? My camera doesn't have an external mic.
A: The only only way to connect a external microphone system such as the Rode wireless Go II is for the camera to have a microphone input, if the camera does not have a external microphone input the audio would have to be recorder separately into a audio recorder at that point the video and audio would have to be sync in post production.
Q: 10. What is the voltage that the transmitters are capable of sending to lavalier microphones? Want to know if this can be used with higher-end lav mics like DPA, Sanken, Countryman etc.
A: No tech info available on Go ii, however, the Rode Wireless Go provides 2.8V and I would assume that the ii is the same: Rode Wireless Go: Audio Output Standard 3.5mm TRS microphone input Supplies 2.8V plugin power for compatible microphones
