A: The Datavideo SE-1200MU has SDI outputs that you can use with recording devices. The Atomos Samurai Blade is a nice option to record directly to a Solid State Drive. You can also look in to an H.264 encoder for both recording and streaming, such as the Datavideo NVS-25.

Q: 6. can I pause while recording and then continue to record with out interruption?

A: Sorry, this software cannot do that. Also we are not aware of any software that can. Basically, whenever you stop, the available software will start again with another clip.

Q: 7. If I need to insert a clock shot into the video, can I do that with this switcher?

A: If you wish to train a camera on a clock face, you can certainly pull up that camera and put that into your main view if you wish.

Q: 8. Can I use Chromo key AS WELL AS make that input to become the PiP? Basically I want a PiP window that comes in with Chroma and remove the chroma green background. In the demo video I saw the PiP and Chroma explained on two different inputs. But what I want is BOTH the PiP and Chroma Key effects to be applied on the very same input. Can I do it? Thanks.

A: No, unfortunately you won't be able to do that with our SE-1200MU switcher. You would need a 2 M/E switcher to have two different keys on one layer.
