The black Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity and TA4F Connector for Trantec Transmitters is a subminiature lav microphone designed to deliver clear, full-bodied sound and reliable performance, making it a popular choice among industry professionals in broadcast, TV, theater, film, videography, and more.

Engineered to meet the standards of modern digital wireless microphone systems, the COS-11D is RF shielded to eliminate interference issues and ensure a pristine audio signal. The microphone capsule features a rectangular design that sits vertically, increasing the surface area and allowing this tiny mic to offer a rich, full sound that outperforms many larger models.

The mic's 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response rolls-off extreme low end and provides accurate, transparent audio reproduction with a small presence boost in the 6 kHz area for crisp, intelligible speech. With a forgiving omnidirectional polar pattern that picks up sound in a 360° pattern, levels stay consistent even when the subject turns away from the mic.

A water-resistant mesh screen protects against humidity, perspiration, makeup, bad weather, and other potential on-location issues, while the durable cable is also moisture-resistant and built to stay soft and pliable, even after extended use. This version of the COS-11D terminates in a TA4F connector and is wired for use with Trantec transmitters. Accessories are available separately and are not included with this configuration of the microphone.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the Wireless GO II be used in the same room as the original Wireless Go? Will they automatically select different 2.4GHz channels?

A: Yes you can use the Rode Wireless Go II in the same room as the Rode Wireless Go. The systems have frequency agility built into them to avoid interference with each other.

Q: 2. Are the batteries in the transmitter and receiver replaceable? Thanks for any information.

A: This is a sealed system, they are not replacable.

Q: 3. Is it possible to connect more than two transmitters to the same receiver?

A: No. Only two transmitters can be connected to the receiver for the RODE Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder.

Q: 4. Will this work with a Canon 6D?

A: Yes, the Rode Wireless GO II Single 1-Person Compact Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System/Recorder Kit is compatible for use with a Canon EOS 6D DSLR Camera.

Q: 5. do you need to plug an external mic into the transmitter? or does it have a mic internally?

A: Nohe transmitters included with the RODE Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder have a built-in omnidirectional microphone, so using an external microphone like a lavalier is optional.

Q: 6. Hi, I just ordered this mic a couple weeks ago. So far it has not shown to turn on or record any audio, nor did I receive an instruction manual with it. I have plugged it into my canon 5d mark III and also a Zoom H5 recorder, and both have giving me no sound from the mic and some plug in noise. No levels are shown to record. I have not been able to find any troubleshooting pieces on line. Can you help me?

A: This microphone requires power you need to send it 48V

Q: 7. What is the best affordable external recorder to record 4 or more output?

A: You connect and simultaneously record four or more wireless receivers or wired microphones using the Zoom H6 All Black 6-Input / 6-Track Portable Handy Recorder with Single Mic Capsule (B&H # ZOH6B) or Zoom H8 8-Input / 12-Track Portable Handy Recorder (B&H # ZOH8). Four wireless receivers or wired microphones can be recorded simultaneously using the Tascam DR-70D 6-Input / 4-Track Multi-Track Field Recorder with Onboard Omni Microphones (B&H # TADR70D). These recorders are all portable, compact and affordable.

Q: 8. Wil it work with a Sennheiser ME 4 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector ? Will it provide voltage ?

A: The input on the Rode Wireless GO II transmitter is standard 3.5mm TRS non-locking connector. The transmitter will supply the appropriate voltage (plug-in power) that the mic requires to function. However, the Sennheiser ME 4 uses a 3.5mm TRS locking connector which may not attach properly to the transmitter since its input is not threaded like those on Sennheiser wireless transmitters and the mic's locking ring has no thread to lock onto.

Q: 9. Does the transmitter work if hidden and placed behind the subject's back?

A: It will work depending upon the line of sight distance from the receiver.

Q: 10. Can I plug a Dynamic Mic into the transmitter with an XLR-female to 3.5mm adapter? Would the levels work, or would it overload the unit? ie, SM58, adapter cable, Wireless GO II

A: The audio input signal would be too hot. Attenuation would be required.
