Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work w/ a D750?

A: Yes. It will work for any F Mount. Works with my D600.

Q: 2. I have a friend with a Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ Reflector Telescope and I have a Canon Rebel T3i. Will this work to join those two items for eclipse photos?Do I need anything else for that purpose? If possible, can you confirm the diameter of the main lens on the Celestron is 130mm like the model # indicates?

A: As stated above you will need a T-adapter to go between the T-Ring and the telescope. You need to know whether the telescope accepts 1.25in or 2in eyepieces to know what size T-Adapter to get. The T-Ring is camera specific so you are good there. The T-Adapter adapts the T-ring to the telescope. Don't forget the appropriate solar filter. You can only use the telescope and camera during totality without the solar filter. The solar filter must be in place outside totality or you will destroy the camera, your eye or both.

Q: 3. Does this have M42 or M48 thread?

A: T-mount are typically M42.

Q: 4. I have a Celstron Nexstar C60 22062. I'm trying to find out if it can accept a camera mount. Would you have any data in this regard?

A: I believe you could use this adapter in combination with Celestron #93625, which claims to work with all refractors. However, I have not personally used it.

Q: 5. I own a Canon 6D and a 5D M-III. I want to use these lenses on my new Sony A6400. Is this the correct adapter to purchase to fit my Sony E mount? I don't mind that it's not an electronic adapter.

A: If using Canon EF lenses originally for your Canon DSLRs on a Sony A6400 with an E mount, the Commlite Electronic Autofocus Lens Mount Adapter for Canon EF or EF-S-Mount Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera, BH # COCMEFNEXB would be a much better option. https://bhpho.to/3r6EOfG

Q: 6. Is this the adapter to mount Nikon DSLR D7000 to Celestron TrailSeeker 100 22-67x100 Spotting Scope?

A: The Celestron T-Mount SLR Camera Adapter for Nikon F-Mount needs to be connected to an actual T mount, such as https://bhpho.to/2UfejnB , the normal T-mount diameter is 1.25 of an inch, and will fit the Celestron Spotting Scope eyepiece tube instead of an "eyepiece". After connecting the Celestron adapter to a T-moun, then one would connect the Nikon D7000 to the newly assembled T-mount on the F mount adapter side. It is important to keep in mind if you replace the eyepiece with a camera the magnification of the eyepiece will be reduced to 1X. Many people today prefer to shoot a photo through the eyepeice to retain the magnification.

Q: 7. Can I attach this to the Ef to RF adapter for use on my R6?

A: You need to use an RF T-mount adapter, like this one: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1494990-REG/vivitar_hf_t2_eos_r_t_mount_to_canon_rf_mount.html

Q: 8. Is this the 10mm T ring?

A: The T-Ring is 11mm. Canon EOS (EF) bodies are 44mm deep, and adding an 11mm T-ring will get you to the ideal 55mm spacing.

Q: 9. ? Need to add Stepup ring to Nikon t mount what size thread

A: not exactly sure what your question is, but for me I used the t-ring to attached my Nikon f-mount camera to a celestron scope using t-adapter (Celestron 93625 Universal 1.25-inch Camera T-Adapter). if that's what your are trying to do, I recommend using wireless shutter release remote control. hope that helps.

Q: 10. it is unclear to me how this adapter attaches to the telescope eyepiece. Do I need anything in addition to this item?

A: The Celestron T-Ring for Nikon F-Mount Cameras changes the camera lens mount to a T-mount. This would then need an adapter on the Telescope side to change the telescope to a T-mount as well. Basically this adapter is half the picture, one needs an adapter on the telescope side as well, as most are not native T-mount.

Wasn't sure if the control ring was worth the extra money, but being able to customize it is pretty invaluable. I currently have it set to control ISO and it's made shooting in manual mode fully accessible without having to look away from the subject. If it's in stock, BUY IT.

waiting a while for this when it was back-ordered and glad I did. The control ring adds that extra versatility. SO worth the $$$ for this feature.
