A: A shotgun mic should be used to pick up dialog from one person, or professional sounding audio. If you use it to pick up two people, the sound will become thin. I would suggest using a boom person, or setting up two mics in a stereo configuration.

A: Audio-Technica does not wrap the box for the ATH-M50x headphones with cellophane. Inside the box, the headphones and included accessories are packed in plastic. This is how the headphones are shipped from the Audio-Technica factory. A: It only has an XLR out, so it will be a mic level output. It does have a spot where you can put a battery in, if you do not have phantom power in your recorder though.
