The beige Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity and Non-Servo TA5F Connector for Lectrosonics Transmitters is a subminiature lav microphone designed to deliver clear, full-bodied sound and reliable performance, making it a popular choice among industry professionals in broadcast, TV, theater, film, videography, and more.
Engineered to meet the standards of modern digital wireless microphone systems, the COS-11D is RF shielded to eliminate interference issues and ensure a pristine audio signal. The microphone capsule features a rectangular design that sits vertically, increasing the surface area and allowing this tiny mic to offer a rich, full sound that outperforms many larger models.
The mic's 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response rolls-off extreme low end and provides accurate, transparent audio reproduction with a small presence boost in the 6 kHz area for crisp, intelligible speech. With a forgiving omnidirectional polar pattern that picks up sound in a 360° pattern, levels stay consistent, even when the subject turns away from the mic.
A water-resistant mesh screen protects against humidity, perspiration, makeup, bad weather, and other potential on-location issues, while the durable cable is also moisture-resistant and built to stay soft and pliable, even after extended use. This version of the COS-11D terminates in a TA5F connector and is wired for use with non-servo-bias Lectrosonics transmitters. A metal windscreen, holder clip, rubber mount, and plastic case are included.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. can you use outdoors using only cell data on iphone, and live on zoom?
A: The wireless receiver is powered by the iPhone and sends audio to the phone through its Lightning port, but the wireless receiver does not use the phone's data for any of its functions.
Q: 2. compatible with macbook?
A: The Movo Photo EDGE-DI-DUO 2-Person Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System for iPhones (2.4 GHz) features a Lightning connector for connecting to inputs found specifically on iPhones and would not be compatible with other connections found on the Macbook.
Q: 3. will this fit on a dji mimo 3?
A: I think you might mean the DJI Mobile 3, the Mimo is their smartphone app. Yes, but you have to compensate to allow the extra space when mounting your phone.
Q: 4. Is this mic compatible to be used with a Denecke PS power supply? I'm having a problem, cause I just hear a loud hum noise and no transmitter signal. I tried it with other mics and transmitters, and I hear the same loud hum noise.
A: Yes, the Sanken CS-M1 can be used with the Denecke PS-1A or PS-2 which are both compatible 48V phantom power supplies. The Denecke PS-T is not compatible for use with the CS-M1 because it is a 12V "T-power" supply intended for use with older microphones that require lower voltage and the CS-M1 requires 48V phantom power.
Q: 5. Will this work for the Sennheiser MKH8060 or is there a better choice for that?
A: The Rycote Standard Hole Classic Softie Wind-Screen (BH #RYS12M) is a better option for the Sennheiser MKH 8060.
Q: 6. My laptop has only USB-A or HDMI ports. Will this unit work with an adapter to one of those ports?
A: The receiver in the Saramonic Blink 500 B5 Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System for USB Type-C Devices cannot be adapted for HDMI connection, but it can be adapted for USB Type-A. An adapter such as the Rocstor USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C Female to Type-A Male Adapter (BH #ROY10A207A1) could be used for this purpose: https://bhpho.to/3Kl2On0
Q: 7. Can I plug a wired hand-held dynamic mic into the 3.5mm port on the transmitter?
A: Yes, you can connect a handheld dynamic microphone to a transmitter of this wireless system with an adapter cable, such as the Remote Audio CASENSK100XMC48 XLR Female to Locking 3.5mm TRS Male Adapter Cable (4'), BH #RECASEK100M.
Q: 8. Does it work with its old handhold microphone, hu9?
A: That, I do not know it's a great little system
Q: 9. Can you set the frequency? I'm concerned if I have two sets of these, they might interfere with each other.
A: They set automatically. You can have up to 18 dual systems in a single area. Having two sets in an area will be without any issue. Just be sure to have the receivers at least 1-2 feet apart if possible for best results. If that is not an option try to have at least 6 inches between them.
Q: 10. Will this allow for 48kHz, 24-bit audio recording using apps like FilmicPro?
A: Yes this will allow audio recording with Filmmic Pro 48 Khz at 24 bit.
