A: Not sure if you are referring to the distance between the farthest points on each leg or the length of the bar. The stands are adjustable to a degree, so you can improve support. I would say that if you want the legs fully extended that you leave 16' of room, but you could get away with 14-15' if you had to. Just remember that it will not be as stable.The bar itself is 12' long and supports 12' muslin and 11' seamless paper. Heavier fabric will cause the middle to bow slightly, so I would recommend when using a heavier fabric that you extend the legs fully.

A: You can but it is not necessary, it remains wrinkle free.

A: I don't use any stands to set it up. I lay it against a wall and clamp the wire frame to whatever furniture I can find. A shelf,, a hinge of a door or anything. The wire-frame is flexible. If my setup is a tight fit in a narrow room (this screen is big) or at the end of a corridor I don't even clamp the frame. It holds itself by pressing to the sides..
