    Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What port does this plug into on the camera? Is it still usable if I have an external mic in use?

A: This is a 2.5mm sub-mini plug, which goes in to the shutter release port on a compatible camera. If the camera has an input for a microphone as well that is a different connection, a 3.5mm or 1/8 input.

Q: 2. What is the benefit of using this remote when it is not wireless ?

A: Wireless remotes tend to offer more perks but have a higher cost (if they're radio) or only work from the front (if they're IR). There are many instances where photographers do not need to shoot from a distance, like in landscapes, night photography/cityscapes, etc. so wired remotes suffice.

Q: 3. How is the feel of the locking switch? I have a Vello shutter release for Nikon, but when pressing the button it would often slip the locking switch up and lock the shutter open. It did not have enough of a detent in the switch to prevent this.

A: Very well made, no issue with the locking switch.

Q: 4. Does this work with the GFX 100S, 100 II and 100S II cameras?

A: The FUJIFILM RR-100 Remote Release is compatible with the FUJIFILM GFX 100S, GFX 100II, and GFX 100S II Medium-Format Mirrorless Cameras.

Q: 5. Does this work with the Fuji X-E4?

A: Yes this release will work with the Fujifilm X-E4.

Q: 6. Does this work with Fujifilm XT 5?

A: Yes, the FUJIFILM RR-100 Remote Release works with the FUJIFILM XT-5 Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 7. Is this a compatible remote trigger for video r/s for an xh2s. How does it connect? Via usbc? Is there a LANC port on the xh2s?

A: The FUJIFILM RR-100 Remote Release is compatible with the FUJIFILM X-H2S Mirrorless Camera BH #FUXH2S via the 2.5mm Sub-Mini Connection. There is no LANC port on the FUJIFILM X-H2S Mirrorless Camera.

    Q: 8. Will this work with a Fuji X-T5?

A: Yes, the FUJIFILM RR-100 Remote Release is compatible with the FUJIFILM X-T5 Mirrorless Camera.

    Q: 9. Will this work with a Fuji X-H2?

A: Yes, the FUJIFILM RR-100 Remote Release is compatible with the Fuji X-H2.

Q: 10. This works fine on my X-T3, even with an extension cable, but here's a question for anyone: might it be possible to plug this into a kind of Y-splitter so I can run two cameras with a single RR-100? (This would be to shoot video.)

A: Unfortunately no. Just tried it for you. The second camera doesn't respond to the commands. I would consider looking at some wireless options like the Shutterboss or have an extra remote for the other camera.
