The PGA31 headset condenser microphone is built for comfort and clear vocal reproduction. It features a cardioid polar pattern that helps reject unwanted noise, and a tailored frequency response optimized for speech intelligibility. The flexible gooseneck design with discrete adjustment options let you position the microphone for further source isolation in loud environments.

The PG58 dynamic capsule features a cardioid polar pattern that minimizes background noise and feedback. The built-in spherical wind and pop filter reduces plosives for clear vocals.

The durable bodypack transmitter offers a lightweight, ergonomic design that is comfortable for the presenter to wear. There is also an easily accessible on/off switch and a TA4M 4-pin input jack.

The lightweight handheld transmitter is comfortable to hold and is equipped with an on/off button and a black identification cap. The WA621 Color ID Caps kit containing assorted colored caps is available as an optional accessory.

Both transmitters offer adjustable gain control, along with group and channel selection buttons for quick and simple frequency matching with the receiver.

The BLX88 receiver employs a microprocessor-controlled internal antenna diversity feature to improve the quality and reliability of your wireless audio. Two LED displays show group and channel settings, while four LED lights indicate when the system is ready for use and the strength of the incoming audio signal. The unit offers two 1/4" and two XLR outputs for connectivity to PA systems and mixing boards.

Shure offers a variety of lavalier, instrument, headset, and handheld microphone options to adapt your BLX system as your needs evolve.

  • The discrete MX153 sub-miniature earset mic and CVL lavalier mic both provide exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • Instrumentalists can attach the WB98H/C flexible gooseneck instrument microphone for brass, woodwind, and percussion applications.
  • The WA302 guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.

Q: 1. Will there be a dual lav single reciever package with this new mic?

A: Hi, James! Good day! There should be in the future but Sony has not said anything yet. Regards, Erin

Q: 2. Will the balanced output drive a device that requires line level input? I was thinking of connecting it directly to the line level input of the Radial EXO-POD.

A: The Sony URX-P41D Dual-Channel Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver is only capable of Mic level output signals and does not offer Line level output.

Q: 3. Will this work with the Shure G50 band transmitters?

A: The Sony URX-P41D will not work with Shure transmitters.

Q: 4. Will this work for both channels in a Sony X400 camera?

A: Hi Tom, Yes. Thanks, Erin

Q: 5. Can you use 2 units on 2 cameras side by side, with same freq range?

A: Yes, it is possible to use two Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone Systems that operate on the same frequency band at the same time within 330 feet of each other. Only one transmitter can be used at a time with each receiver. When you are setting up the wireless systems and pairing the transmitters and receivers, each system will automatically pair to a different frequency within the same frequency band.

Q: 6. will the URx P40 work with a UTX-P03 Transmitter?

A: Yes, the Sony URX-P40 Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver from the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System is compatible for use with Sony UTX-P03 Plug-On Transmitters operating on the same frequency range.

Q: 7. Is there a 3.5mm to TA3 cable to plug this into an 833 TA3 input?

A: A cable such as the Cable Techniques 3.5mm TRS to TA3F Balanced Cable (BH #CACTS2KT318) could be used to facilitate connection between the locking 3.5 mm TRS female balanced output on the Sony URX-P41D Dual-Channel Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver and the TA3 input connections on the Sound Devices 833 Multitrack Field Recorder.

Q: 8. Can both mics (a handheld and lav) be used at the same time?

A: No the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System is a single channel combo system. You can only use one mic at a time. You would need to buy a dual channel system if you wanted to run 2 mic's with one receiver.

Q: 9. Can you use any XLR microphone - AKG, Sennheiser, Rode, Shure - with the plug-in transmitter, or does it have to be a Sony mic?

A: The Sony UTX-P40 Wireless Plug-On Transmitter included with the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System can be used with just about any XLR microphone, whether it is a dynamic or condenser style mic, and regardless of the brand.

Q: 10. Which is the best of the three band choices for New York City?

A: The three frequency ranges of the Sony URX-P41D Dual-Channel Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver all have many available channels for use in the New York City area. With 2,772 frequencies in each band and the ability to scan for the cleanest channel based on location, each range should have minimal issues finding an open frequency, even in dense RF environments. The UC14 and UC25 bands are most common and recommended in this scenario.
