The low-profile MX153 condenser earset microphone is built for clear vocal reproduction, especially when improved gain before feedback over lavalier microphones is desired. The mic's omnidirectional polar pattern offers enhanced plosive protection with no proximity effect. Commshield RF Filtering minimizes RF interference from nearby smartphones, and the tailored frequency response is optimized for speech intelligibility.

The durable BLX1 bodypack transmitter offers a lightweight, ergonomic design that is comfortable for the presenter to wear. Group and channel selection buttons allow for quick and simple frequency matching with the receiver. Other features include an easily accessible on/off switch, adjustable gain control, and a TA4M 4-pin input jack.

The BLX4R receiver employs a microprocessor-controlled antenna diversity system to improve the quality and reliability of your wireless audio. The receiver can be rackmounted with the included hardware, allowing you to position the two removable antennas on the front of the rack for optimal signal reception.

The LCD display shows group and channel settings, and allows you to meter audio level and signal strength. An LED indicator even lets you keep an eye on the transmitter's remaining battery life. The unit offers 1/4" and XLR connectors with adjustable output level for flexible connectivity to PA systems and mixing boards.

Shure offers a variety of headset, instrument, and handheld microphone options to adapt your BLX system as your needs evolve.

  • The discrete WL185 lavalier mic provides exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • The SM35 is a comfortable, durable headset microphone for active performance.
  • Instrumentalists can attach the WB98H/C flexible gooseneck instrument microphone for brass, woodwind, and percussion applications.
  • The WA302 guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.
  • The BLX2 handheld transmitter is available with three different mic capsules for presenters who prefer the flexibility of a handheld microphone.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. hi i live in the caribbean on the island of St Vincent and the Grenadines , what frequency range should i get ?

A: The versions of the Sony UWP-D27 which we carry are only guaranteed to work within the USA. Unfortunately we cannot advise on compatibility of radio equipment in other countries, as every area will have its own laws & regulations regarding which UHF frequencies can and cannot be used.

Q: 2. Can multiple receivers be used simultaneously to get the same signal?

A: Yes. An unlimited number of bodypack receivers can tune in to the transmission of one transmitter provided all units are of the same frequency band.

Q: 3. How do you do a frequency scan to find the clearest channel to use when on location with these?

A: Instructions for using the Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System's auto-scan function can be found on page 23 of the manual here: https://bhpho.to/3LCJbZv

Q: 4. Hi. Is the Hi. Is the Sony SMAD-P5 Digital MI Shoe Adapter included?

A: No, the Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System does not include the Sony SMAD-P5 Digital MI Shoe Adapter for UWP-D Series (B&H # SOSMADP5). The SMAD-P5 is available separately.

Q: 5. Can you use 2 units on 2 cameras side by side, with same freq range?

A: Yes, it is possible to use two Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone Systems that operate on the same frequency band at the same time within 330 feet of each other. Only one transmitter can be used at a time with each receiver. When you are setting up the wireless systems and pairing the transmitters and receivers, each system will automatically pair to a different frequency within the same frequency band.

Q: 6. is there something on the device that would make it introduce hiss into the transmission? I recently bought one. Tested it with 2 identical senheiser boom mics requiring 48v phantom. One sounds great, the other has a major hiss. Tried it on several other mics (57s/58s) and nothing. The "bad" mic works 100% when wired.

A: 1. Make sure to scan for the best frequencies to use before every session. 2. Try lowering the gain

Q: 7. Is there a cable/adapter to use a sanken cos-11BP mic with this system?

A: The Sanken COS-11D-BP Lavalier Microphone has a standard XLR male connector and requires 48V phantom power to function, so it is not compatible for connection to a wireless transmitter with a simple cable adapter. In order to connect the COS-11D-BP to a Sony UTX-B40 Wireless Bodypack Transmitter for the UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Lavalier Microphone System, you will need to connect the mic a phantom power supply first to provide sufficient voltage to the microphone, and then you can use an XLR female to locking 3.5mm TRS Sony cable to connect the output from the phantom power supply to the input on the transmitter. As an option, you can use the Xvive Audio P1 Portable Phantom Power Supply with Rechargeable Battery (B&H # XVP1) together with the Sony EC-1.5BX 3.5mm Locking Mini-Plug to Female XLR Cable - 4.9' (B&H # SOEC1.5BX). The Xvive P1 is lightweight and has a built-in rechargeable battery, as well as a belt clip.

Q: 8. Is the dual audio output compatible with mirrorless cameras like the Nikon Z9? Or how would I input both mics to the camera? I'm trying to go an interview style film with 2 talents. Thank you.

A: Yes, the Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System is compatible for use with the Nikon Z9 Mirrorless Camera. You would connect the output from the receiver to the camera's 3.5mm mic input using the included 3.5mm to locking 3.5mm cable and the audio from both microphones will be recorded by the camera along with the video.

Q: 9. I had hearing loss in one ear. Is there a setting where I can listen to two people's voices mixed?

A: Unfortunately there is not a way to set only the Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System's headphone output to mono, while retaining dual-channel output via the main Line Out.

Q: 10. Does this work with a Panasonic G85 or G95 camera?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser EW 112P G4 Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System would work with the Panasonic Lumix G85 Mirrorless Camera, as the camera has the necessary 3.5mm microphone input connection. The EW 112P G4 includes an adapter to mount the receiver onto the camera shoe, as well as the appropriate cable to connect the receiver's output to the camera's input. It does not appear that the Panasonic Lumix G95 Mirrorless Camera has the necessary 3.5mm microphone input connection, however.
