You'll need an additional device to do NAT, firewall, DHCP, port forwarding... all of the features that most consumer wireless routers do.The upside of this device is the stellar WIFI coverage (at this price) and the management features when you have more than one AP, or are running multiple SSIDs. Also the PPoE feature allows you to mount it unobtrusively on a ceiling or wall (theres a config option to shut the lights off and it just looks like another smoke alarm type device).If you don't understand any of the above terms, there may be a bit of a learning curve with this device.
