Mongoose from Boz Digital is a plug-in for tightening the bottom end of mix when the relevant tracks have been recorded in stereo. While stereo tracking can be very beneficial when it comes to higher frequencies, large stereo spreads for lower frequencies can sound unnatural and result in weaker bass.

The software takes all the wide, low frequencies and puts them right in the middle of the stereo field, which results in a low end that translates better to headphones and 2.1 systems. The plug-in is easy to use, requiring only an adjustment of the crossover frequency, where everything below that point is summed to mono. Additionally, the width of the stereo image can be adjusted using dedicated low and high width-knobs.

A: You need to go TRRS into the computer for your computer to be able to see it through the mini to USB-C adapter that you are using. A: The Azden SMX-30V Stereo/Mono Mixable Video Microphone and the Azden SMX-30 Stereo/Mono Switchable Video Microphone have similar specifications in reference to self noise, with an identical signal to noise ratio spec of 82 dB (1kHz). While we have not tested either mic directly with the Sony a6600 Mirrorless Camera, they should both work well, although a bit of self noise is expected in general.

A: In order to assist you it would be helpful to know which transmitter you are using with the AVX EKP receiver. There are two options -- the Sennheiser SK AVX Digital Bodypack Transmitter - 1.9 GHz (B&H # SESKAVX4) and Sennheiser SKM AVX-835S Digital Handheld Microphone Transmitter - 1.9 GHz (B&H # SESKMAVX8354). The receiver and transmitter must both be powered on and within line of sight of each other in order to pair them. The transmitter and receiver need to be within close proximity and able to "see" each other during setup. Please be aware that other Sennheiser transmitters like those from the Evolution series or the XS series (which operate on the UHF band) or XSW-D series (which operates on the 2.4 GHz band) are not compatible for use with the AVX series receiver.
