A: If you rotate the bracket to the other side of the camera, you must slide the device into it from front to back instead of the usual back to front. This isn't a problem for the mic and external GPS that I use it for, but might be if your device's shoe mount is designed to work only if you slide it into the shoe in a forward direction.

Q: 9. Can I use this bracket to mount 1 microphone and 1 camcorder on a tripod such that the camcorder points straight ahead and the microphone points 40 degree away from the direction of the camcorder ?

A: Hi - in any case you would need a microphone shock mount to attach the mic to the bracket. Typically these mounts tilt but do not pan which is what you want. Unless you can find one that pans, you would have to adapt it yourself somehow.

Q: 10. Just curious, Does anyone have one that is immensely stinky? I have one that for years now has smelled like intense smoke like smoked meat with rubber. It stinks up a camera bag so i have to put in in a ziplock bag if i take it anywhere.
