A: My understanding is that if you use a lens larger than about 60mm, you would need to add extension tubes between the larger lens and your camera to retain the entire slide dimensions within your camera's viewfinder.

A: I have that same lens and it did not work. I had to go get the 60mm macro and that works perfectly.

A: Not without a 58mm to 52mm step down adapter ring. And you may need to get an extension tube to get the image to cover the whole sensor. It has a 52mm thread which fits Canon's 50mm macro lens but the 100mm has a 58mm filter thread. It does work really well on Canon's 50mm macro with a 25mm extension tube. I'm getting great results.
