A: The Saramonic SmartRig+ Di has a 1/4''-20 thread on the back of it.

A: You can use speedlights but you will not get the same effect as a strobe.

Q: 9. What's the difference between the lightning vs the 3.5mm ?

A: The SmartRig+ with TRRS can be used with smartphones and cameras with 3.5mm inputs, well the lightning version: SmartRig+Di is made for iPhones and iPads with a Lightning input.

I use this umbrella as a shoot thru umbrella utilizing my Canon 580 EX flashes. It works well, defusing the light quite well. 5

Good size, good construction, great shooting. Need I say more. Ribs ARE exposed, so if you're searching for something without exposed ribs, search for another product. 5

Very soft quality of light and you can also shoot thru it, the umbrella is very well made at a very reasonable price, the little bit larger size (43) is very good for indoor portraits as well as fill for other set-ups. I highly recommend it. 5

It bent a little when it fell from the wind. make sure to use a sandbag when going outside. Other than that, this product did its job and it worked great! I use it with my Sb-800/600. 5

I got this because I needed something that I could take with me for location shoots and not worry about breaking the bank. There are much better umbrellas but not for the price. The shaft seems pretty strong for a low budget buy. This is just big enough to hide the ribs from your picture. 5

It would be hard to produce a poor quality umbrella and thankfully this isn't poor quality. I'd recommend keeping the sleeves they come in to keep them clean. 5

Great job at diffusing light. Very flimsy, so be careful when transporting. Great backup if you can't use or afford softboxes, I love them! 5
