The Tour Guide Package from Anchor Audio provides everything you would need for one-way wireless communication with up to six people at once, and as such, is a suitable choice for guided tours, translated events, and workshops in vast areas. It features an Active Listening System to help cut through unwanted background noise and aid in clear understanding of anything spoken over the airwaves through the frequencies it shall govern.

Included in this package are six battery-powered belt-pack receivers, six in-ear headphones, a wireless belt-pack transmitter, a headband microphone, and a carrying case. The receivers and transmitters operate within a frequency range of 902 to 928 MHz, and each battery-powered belt-pack features 16 individual UHF channels for selecting between open frequencies.

Though this unit comes with six belt-pack receivers, it's completely expandable, so you can keep transmitting to people so long as the receiver can tune to your frequency. In addition to being ADA compliant, this system works equally well indoors and outdoors at a range of 500'.

Q: 1. I'm having trouble finding the manufacturer's website for these. Anybody got a link?

A: https://www.comica-audio.com/

Q: 2. Is the BoomX-U better than BoomX-D?

A: The two systems are similar in that both are wireless microphone systems, but each operates in a different manner. Determining which system is better will depend on your specific needs and the types of strong wireless audio frequencies that are already in use within the location where the system will be used often. The BoomX-U is an analog wireless system which operates within the UHF frequency band between 568 to 579 MHz and offers 48 frequencies to choose from to avoid wireless signal interference. It has an operating range of up to 394'. The built-in rechargeable batteries for the UHF system provide up to 6 hours of operation. The BoomX-D is a digital wireless system which operates within the 2.4 GHz band (2400 to 2483.5 MHz) above the range of radio and TV, but within the range of Wi-Fi signal. Only one other wireless BoomX-D can be used at the same time. It has an operating range of up to 164' and its built-in rechargeable batteries provide up to 5 hours of operation. The advantage of a 2.4 GHz systems is that they can be used in most countries around the world while regulations for UHF frequencies vary. Within the US, the UHF system offers more frequencies to switch between, the ability to use more of the same wireless mic systems, and a longer operating distance between the transmitter and receiver. Q: 3. Does it make sense to pair these with a 32bit-float recorder? or rather: do they transmit 32bits to the receiver so a zoom F6 would get the full dynamic range?

A: The 32bit aspect of the Zoom F6 allows for extremely high headroom while recording. This means that regardless of how high or low your audio signal being recorded is, the audio can be turned up or down after the fact to be usable. The type of audio being sent to the F6 does not impact the bit rate of the recorder. It would be a fine pairing in general.

Q: 4. can you use other microphones with these like a countryman b3 with non locking 3.5mm?

A: Yes, you can upgrade to any Lav (not wired for Sony) wih a 3.5mm connector.

Q: 5. Will the Player Lite Reader software still work with the new version of the software?

A: The latest version of the OLYMPUS DSS Player Lite will work wit this Olympus DS-9000 Digital Voice Recorder .

Q: 6. Can the gain of each microphone be adjusted independently?

A: Yes, each mic has it's own gain adjustment.

Q: 7. Could I use the headphone port on the receiver to send the signal to a different system?

A: The Comica Audio BoomX-U QUA Ultracompact 4-Person Wireless Microphone System has two outputs, a main Mic Output and a Headphone Output. The Mic Output is the correct type of signal for cameras, mobile devices, and recorders. The Headphone Output on the other hand is really only the correct voltage and impedance for a pair of headphones. It could be used as a line output in an emergency, but quality will be undesirable and the signal will be too hot for something expecting a microphone-level signal.

Q: 8. this ítem come come un a pack of two?

A: This is a single antenna.

Q: 9. I've used 4 persons simultaneously with no problem. My question is, is it 16 or 24bit?

A: The Comica Audio BOOMX-U does not have a recording function, so no analog to digital conversion occurs. As such, the bitrate of your recording would be determined by your recording device.

Q: 10. Can I plug in a Shure PG58 using an appropriate 3.5mm to XLR cable to the Tx unit in place of the lav mic?

A: The PG58 is a wireless microphone that is only compatible with the Shure BLX wirelsss receiver.
