Ideal for security surveillance, watching night skies, and night hunting, the 5x 3rd Generation Night Vision Bi-ocular from Newcon Optik features a 3rd generation autogated intensifier tube with a resolution of 64 lp/mm. Its autogating feature provides resistance to bright light, reduces degradation, and helps improve tube life. To maximize image brightness in the lowest of lighting conditions, and in complete darkness, the bi-ocular carries a built-in infrared illuminator and a wide catadioptric objective lens with a 130mm focal length and f/2.3 f-number. With 5x magnification, the lens system enables you to make observations at a considerable range with an angular field of view of 8°. The bi-ocular also offers a diopter adjustment and a variable interpupillary distance.

To allow you to use it anywhere, the housing is made of high quality aluminum and offers waterproof performance and can be submersed to a depth of 3.3' for 30 minutes. Its rubber winged eyecups prevent spillover of light from the tubes and offer comfortable cushions between the orbits of your eyes and eyepieces.

A: The 18i20 includes a bundle code which allows you to download several different software programs such as an exclusive Focusrite edition of Pro Tools | First Pack, Ableton Live Lite, the Softube Time and Tone Bundle, Foscusrite's Red Plug-In Suite, and a library of LoopMasters samples. So the included bundle code allows you to access more software than just Ableton Live Lite.

Q: 3. How does one measure for the correct spine length for this harness?

A: The spine of this harness is 14.5''. This is size adjustable to fit many different sized people. When wearing the harness, you would want to adjust the size to where the audio bag is supported at your waist.

A: The Focusrite Control software is used for internal routing within the interface. This is not required otherwise. You can use ProTools and other DAW software with the interface directly as well.

A: The Focusrite Scarlett series interfaces work seamlessly with most DAW software. Adobe Audition should have no issues as well.

Q: 8. Are the preamps powerful enough for low input/gain hungry dynamic mics, like the Shure 7M7B? Planning on using this for a 3 or 4 mic podcast.

A: The Focusrite Scarlett 18i8's preamps are technically powerful enough for a dynamic microphone like SM7b or the RE20, but best results and the lowest noise floor will still be had with a mic activator such as the CL1 CloudLifter.

A: Hi Frank,Thanks for your feedback.The bandwidth of USB 2.0 is more than enough for the amount of data being passed to the computer.
