The straight-viewing Knight T80 ED-APO 20-60x80 Spotting Scope from Snypex combines a large objective with extra-low dispersion (ED) apochromatic (APO) lenses and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics to produce a spotter that can be used in the field or at the range in all lighting conditions. The APO-ED lenses correct for spherical and chromatic aberrations to create high-contrast images with true color transmission and reduced distortion, especially at the edges of the field of view. Its large 80mm objective increases the low-light performance for spotting game and wildlife at dawn and dusk, or in heavily wooded areas with a thick canopy. Anti-reflection optical coatings further help with the low-light performance by reducing light loss, so views through the scope are bright and clear.

On the right side of the housing is the dual focus wheel system. A large course-focus wheel brings subjects into focus fast and then the small inner wheel can be used to precisely focus with pinpoint accuracy. The housing is waterproof and nitrogen filled for fogproof performance, and a twist-up eyecup allows for a custom eye relief with or without eyewear.

Went to Yellowstone. Tons of scopes all watching a grizzly bear. For the price I love mine over a bunch of others. Would easily buy it again. Love the wide eyepiece. Better than the vortex. I am very impressed. The free tripod is awesome as well. Very sturdy. Not great for hiking but just out of the car it is awesome. Very pleased with my purchase. I have purchased several $300+ scopes. Just buy this scope and you will love it. Can see everything so much better. Even canyons away. Awesome!!

I mainly use this scope for long distance shooting. The clarity is amazing and the huge objective lens transmits a enormous amount of light through. It is definitely possible to use this scope up until last light and spot trace. The reason I am writing this review is because I recently had my zoom ring lock up after almost two years of light use. I sent the scope into Meopta and within a couple of weeks they sent me an entirely new spotting scope. I am very appreciative of how Meopta took care of me and am very satisfied with this scope.

This scope is well built, and has a rotating tripod mount that allows
viewing in almost any position. The image quality is very bright
and sharp up to about 40mm and then gradually darkens

in the 50 X to 60 X range which is to be expected. The eye relief is generous and extends, and the field of view is excellent. The focusing knobs both coarse and fine are together and a bit awkward to focus quickly and takes getting used to. It would have been nice if like their other scopes it had a built in sight on the side.

I like the screw-on protective metal cap on the eyepiece along with the included stay on carrying case. I think it is a terrific spotting scope for its price class although it might be a bit large to carry in the field. I recently purchased the Celestron Omni (Plossi) eyepiece – 32mm which now provides clearer and brighter image easily matching scopes costing three times the price...Louie D

This is every bit of the quality spotting scope that I was expecting after reading numerous professional reviews. I took my scope out today for the first time after first spending way too much time trying to figure out the vague directions on how to change out the ball head to the panning (fluid) head that came with the tripod. Unlike some buyer reviews, I was amazed at this scope's performance after looking at pelicans resting on pilings at 300 yards away, boaters across the bay through the range of magnifications then I looked at the the fine details of houses about 2.5 miles away on the shore of Pensacola Bay. I spent a lot of time researching mid-tier scopes that sport quality optics. This is it. I found the focus ring that some reviewers had issues with, to be smooth with just the right resistance one would expect from a quality optic. I bought this scope primarily for wildlife viewing in the national parks and this scope does not disappoint. This was a great value coupled with the free carbon fiber tripod which I think is probably made by Manfrotto for Meopta. I do wish Meopta would refine their instruction manual that came with the tripod to explain how exactly you change out the ball head with the panning head that came with it. For those who have the same struggle with that, you have to first twist off the ball head counter clockwise as per the instructions. (They basically leave you hanging at that point.) You then have to turn the ball head upside down and use the smaller allen wrench that came with the accessories for the tripod and unscrew the headless screw on the bottom to separate the bottom part of the ball head. You will then use the appropriate part from that separation to attach to the top of the center post that will accept the fluid head. Good luck! As a parting note, I've done business before with B&H and I've always been happy. Thank you B&H for another great value!

At 4.25 pounds, this is not a lightweight spotting scope. The build quality, however, is top drawer and will be good for several lifetimes. The glass is superb and images are sharp. Every control is smooth with just the right amount of resistance. IMO you can pay a lot more without getting better performance.

Have Five of the Meopta rifle scopes and have never been disappointed. This scope is a little heavy but the quality is from back to front, the resolution is something you would expect from a much more expensive scope. you defiantly get you moneys worth.

I had the very fortunate opportunity to buy a pair of Swarovski binoculars from a friend of mine when he upgraded to a newer model, so to be completely honest I have been spoiled as far as quality optics go for a long time. Living out west and being an avid elk hunter I knew it was time to invest in a spotting scope. Being a cheapskate by nature, I bought a cheapie from Walmart, and I couldnt have been more disappointed. Returned the next day for a refund. At that point I became ravenous in my research for a relatively affordable high quality scope. Reading review after review online and talking with fellow hunters, it was between a high end Vortex and the Meopta..... but the deeper I delved into Meopta, the more I was sold on it. If you get a chance to research the history of Meopta, I completely recommend it. And knowing many high end companies rebrand their products including Cabelas, Nightforce and Zeiss using their glass on some of their line intrigued me deeply. As comparing it to Swaro or Leica, it was easily half the price. So I thought ok, its time to slap down that hard earned cash and make the big investment.
At the time of this review, I have only been in possession of this scope for a couple three weeks. In that time I have been to the shooting range and set up looking at the base of the Bighorn Mountains where I live. Other reviews I have read on the scope seem to be accurate, above 30-40 times magnification the fine focusing becomes slightly muddy, the ability to fine tune would be an added feature. But aside from that the Meopta is completely awe inspiring! From miles away blurry patches of timber and snow become a landscape with visual trees and parks and terrain features I never would have dreamed being able to see otherwise. Stellar! At the range, 350 yard shots are clearly viewed at 60X on paper.
My package did not include a warranty card and I called after hours to inquire, a call back was promptly returned from their office in the states

This spotting scope is used for a number of tasks from very long range shooting to bird watching. The optics are outstanding with excellent brightness, clarity all the way to the edge of the image and most of all, phenomenal resolution. This is a high end scope at far less money than most of the competitors in this quality class.
