Always stay prepared by equipping your Yota ensemble with spare suspension springs. These suspension springs are crafted from a durable high-end steel alloy, ensuring that your suspension is never compromised as you traverse even the most demanding terrains. The springs are designed with longevity in mind, and rarely require replacement, but it is always safe to have spare parts on set considering the highly-demanding environments that remote shoots often pose.

Q: 1. Is this compatible with Sennheiser MKH 60?

A: The RODE SM4-R Suspension Shockmount is compatible for use with the Sennheiser MKH 60 Shotgun Microphone.

Q: 2. Will this work with other microphones like an SM 58?

A: This stand could work with mics like the SM58. You would need to use the included extension tube from this stand, and the mic clip included with the Shure to make it work.

Q: 3. Does this use a common thread like an AKG P420?

A: On the bottom both have a 5/8 tread in order to connect it to a stand/or microphone arm. I also tried the AKG P420 with this shock mount and it fits however the microphone doesn't fully lock in place. I would recommend to use the AKG P420 shock mount for better stability.

Q: 5. can a dead cat be used with this?

A: Yes, you can position most shogun microphones to allow enough room for use with a windscreen or dead cat.

Q: 6. What is the difference between this and the HD version (B&H # RYPRSM)?

A: Couple of differences between the standard & HD versions. Firstly the Lyre on the HD are slightly stiffer, and therefore can support recorders of a heavier weight (over 300g or 0.66lbs). Also the adjustment on the tilt of the HD uses a knob, rather than just a screw on the standard - which gives a tad more grip needed for heavier recorders. Hope that helps.

Q: 7. What size are the small hex head screws that go into the top or bottom of the plate? Im trying to add a hot shoe mount.

A: Rode has not provided a spec on the part number or dimensions of the RODE SM4-R's screws.
