Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. dose the livetrak have comp/limiter built in?

A: Yes. The L-20 has one knob compression on each track.

Q: 2. Can I bring the program feed from this mixer into Zoom or other similar software directly via the USB port on the mixer?

A: Yes, the Yamaha MG10XU can send a 2-channel mix out to a computer via USB.

Q: 3. In which country is the Yamaha MG10XU made, the one in your store is made in China? Made in Malaysia ?

A: The Yamaha MG10XU 10-Input Mixer with Built-In FX and 2-In/2-Out USB Interface is made in Malaysia.

Q: 4. Is there a maximum recording time per song?

A: With a 128 GB SDHC/SDXC Memory card, you can activate all 20 channels for recording and record for 10 hours and 56 minutes. Recording on just one channel yields 80 hours, 13 minutes. (2 channels = 60 hours 10 minutes) This is at a 44.1 kHz, 24 Bit rate and bit depth. At 96 khz, 24 bit, 1 track will run for 36 hours, 51 minutes and 20 tracks will record for 5 hours, 1 minute. If you want to use 48 kHz, 24 bits,, 1 track is 73 hours, 42 minutes and 20 tracks is 10Hr. 3 min. Recording at 16 bits? Multiply these times by 1.5. This is the total time for as many songs as you have. If they each run 4 minutes, you can record a lot of songs before you have to empty the memory card. I've found my machine to be a solid performer! Very clear recordings!

Q: 5. is the songs inbuilt ?

A: Songs are not built into this device. You would want to stream music from a mobile device and connect that to an hdmi tv input, or from a smart tv itself, and run the audio out of the tv to the karaoke receiver. Then you'd run the audio out of the receiver into the RCA or 1/8'' audio input of your speaker/ home receiver.

Q: 6. Can you bypass all of the onboard effects and record straight from the pres to the SD card?

A: Yes you can bypass effects also record to sd card all of your recordings save to SD card

Q: 7. Do all tracks bypass onboard effects when recording 20 separate tracks to a SD card for import into a DAW for post production? I want to mix live with effects to FOH and monitors, but record all tracks without any effects for later import and mixing.

A: All individual tracks will be recorded without any effects applied. If recording on the Master track, all effects will be heard on the recording to the Master track, but not on the individual tracks. The individual tracks can be set to record pre or post compressor in the Menu of the L-20.

Q: 8. Can you link two of the mono tracks in the setup to have additional stereo inputs from the 2 that are on the L20?

A: Yes, you can use any of the individual mono input channels to connect instruments, mics or other devices in order to create a stereo input. For example, if you are using a stereo microphone or connecting a keyboard that has two separate outputs for left and right, you can certainly connect each output to a different individual mono input on the L-20.

Q: 9. Does anyone know if it is possible to use a different usb bluetooth adapter?

A: No and I do recommend using their Bluetooth adapter for a clean signal

Q: 10. Hi what is the power adapter you supply for this one - is it universal? (We need 220-240)

A: The power supply included with this product is not universal. Compatible with 120 VAC only.
