The lens supports sensors with resolutions up to 12MP, and features a lightweight, compact mechanical design and sturdy construction to withstand extreme conditions while providing sharp images. The lens has an f-stop range of 2.0 to 16, and the focus setting is lockable, so you don't have to worry about it shifting. A: The images from this lens are still sharp on a Panasonic S5. It does have a vignette at f/2.0, and it is optimized for Leica M bodies, but from the test I ran with this combination I would say the images are still awesome on a S5.
