It features five leg sections that are controlled via twist locks, reaching a maximum height of 73.4" while folding down to a length of 19.5" for transport. Made of aluminum alloy, it is designed to be lightweight and easy to carry at only 1.7 lb.

The monopod attaches to a camera or other equipment via a reversible screw, which has 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads and can be adjusted for use with a wide variety of gear. A wrist strap is provided for safe transport, while a foam hand grip covers most of the top section and makes gripping the tube more comfortable during cold weather. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I neeed to switch the screw size to fit my Nikon D90. I am turning top disk counter clock wise per instructions but things aren't moving. I see on amazon there should be an Allen wrench in box, i didn't get one, is this needed to turn disk and change screw orientation?

A: Yes you need the Allen Wrench to unscrew the screws holding the base to the monopod first. Once you unscrew them turn it over(flip the sides) which has reverse screw size suitable for your camera. Then re-screw the base to the monopod. If the wrench was lost you will have to get one from a hardware store.

Q: 2. Can I use this with a Mamiya rz67 pro II?

A: Yes, the Oben ACM-1400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod B&H # OBACM1400 would be compatible for use with the Mamiya RZ67 Pro II Medium Format Camera Body.

Q: 3. I am going on an Alaskan cruise through the Interior Passage. Four ports. Helicoper ride/dog sled run. Canon 5d Mark IV. Heaviest lens 24-105. Do you think this will work as a general lightweight all-around? Senior lady who wants an easy way to take photos without shaking using different lens. Thank you!

A: One of the great advantages of today's digital cameras is the very high ISO ratings they have. With these high ISO's, you can shoot at a commensurate high shutter speed. Shooting at 1000, 2000, 3000 shutter speed should negate mild and even moderate shake. Of course, if you have a muscular condition that creates more than a moderate shake, then yes, I think this is a good suggestion. It is light, compact even with the three little legs. It will be good even on board ship. Of course, you will not need it for the helicopter or dog sled. I would also recommend a monopod head. This will allow tilt up and down while the monopod is up and down with the legs deployed. Here is a affordable one: Oben VH-R2 Tilt Head for Monopods B&H # OBVHR2. Here is a mid level quality example: Induro TH2 Tilt Head for Monopods B&H # INTH2. Both of these heads have Arca-Swiss type quick releases. That is to say, the included quick release is a desirable industry standard which allows instant on and off the head. Have fun and don't take any wooden pictures.

Q: 4. The second pic, how does the monopod single leg extend from the 3 leg base? It's manually attached or?

A: Please look at the rubber twist lock. Turn that and a leg extends from inside the mini tripod ring.

Q: 5. what country is this item manufactured in?

A: It is made in China.

Q: 6. How much is its maximum capacity?

A: Per Tiltall's US representative, 18 pounds

Q: 7. Is it possible to just buy the legs?

A: Unfortunately, the legs included with the Tiltall Tripod BM-868 4-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod are not available on their own.

Q: 8. HELLO 3 leg locking base for monopods (B&H BEVT2) is compatible with OBEN ACM 1400?

A: Sorry, no. There is only a rubber foot on the bottom of the ACM 1400. There is no method of attaching the base.

Q: 9. Can I put a base on this monopod?

A: No, you can't.

Q: 10. Can the rubber tip at the bottom end of the monopod be unscrewed, so I can attach a pocket camera on bottom end and use it as a boompole/selfie stick?

A: No, it's just a rubber pad at the bottom of the stick. I looked at it this morning.

I use this mostly when I'm shooting team sports with my Canon 70-200 f2.8 L. It's a hefty lens, but I don't want to be tied down to a tripod. This is a great little accessory. Sturdy build, lightweight, and easy to use. The belt clip comes in handy when I've got my hands full.
