Light-weight, compact, nice even light output. I use it with 750W bulbs. Love it. Great for ambient light! Has an umbrella holder. Cools off relatively quickly. 5

Got this kit several years ago as my first pro light. The Tota is an excellent light for travel, with the umbrella it produces striking wrap-around light with a very soft quality. The whole kit could be put in my Kata backpack with a camera and audio equipment (light stand attached to the outside), making it perfect for field interviews. The light is well built (as all Lowel lights) and the Impact air-cushioned stand is actually much better than the standard Lowel stand. 5

I purchase equipment for checkout to students studying photography. The Lowel tota-lights are light, easy to set up, difficult to break, easy to fix, and the right price. Although they are traditionally used for video - they can be used for a quick set up for still work too. We also checkout smith & victor, arri, & kinoflow -- all bulky and heavy in comparison. 5

The Tota-Light is a simple basic light that does exactly what it should, provide an easily controlled light source in a sturdy package. It attaches quickly and securely to any standard light stand and has a long power cord that easily reaches most outlets. The umbrella accessory is quick and easy to attach, adding a nice even light source for video and photography. I currently own three of these and have used them for photography, video and general lighting applications. 5

I'm using the product to shoot mosaic pieces up to 6*6 feet size. It does the job, and illuminates it almost perfectly uniformly, surely a very good value for money. 5

These are really great lights for shooting stills or video. They really give a professional look when used correctly and are very durable. They do generate a lot of heat though, so make sure you have a fan or airconditioning close by... 5
