The CM57 Flexible Clamp Meter from FLIR is an ergonomic tool designed to simplify current measurements. Made with a narrow flexible coil clamp, the CM57 lets you take measurements in spaces where a traditional hard jaw clamp meter cannot be used. With Bluetooth communication for remote viewing and data transfer to iOS and Android devices via the FLIR Tools Mobile App, you can analyze and share data quickly.

The NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) utilizes traceable reference standards to ensure accuracy. This traceable calibration service is recommended for customers that do not require detailed before and after measurement data.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the cine mode work with a super 8 camera?

A: Yes it will calculate the light according to the frame rate

Q: 2. does the meter also calculate contrast ratio in EV like the sekonic 478?

A: Yes it does offer this feature.

Q: 3. Will this adapter ring work with Shape Swing-away matte box and Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS Lens?

A: The SHAPE Flexible Adapter Ring for Clamp-On Matte Box (124 to 104mm) would be incorrect. To fit the Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS Lens you need this adapter. SHAPE Flexible Adapter Ring for Clamp-On Matte Box (124 to 95mm) BH #SHCFR95 • MFR #CFR95

Q: 4. Where is this light meter manufactured? Thank you.

A: Currently this meter is manufactured in the PHILIPPINES.

Q: 5. Can I get a reading from this on the flowers I shoot outside ?? J. Payne

A: Yes this meter will measure incident or reflective light outdoors.

Q: 6. Where is the receptor head? Can't quite tell; it appears to be on the top vs on the front like with the 398. Do you point the receptor head at your subject?

A: Notice the white slide in the front of the meter. If you slide it to the right (the white little bump will cover the sensor) you will be in incident light mode. That is, you should stand where your subject is and point it towards where you will shoot from then take a reading. This is the most accurate method. If you move the white slide to the left (exposing the sensor) you are in the reflective mode. Here you would aim the meter at your subject from your camera position will be. This is how the light meter in a camera works. The differences in value is what your exposure compensation would be if you where using the camera's light meter.

Q: 7. What this meter be good for someone trying to stop using auto mode and learn manual mode on their camera?

A: Possibly. It could help you understand the difference between a reflective reading (what all cameras give you) and an incident reading. (this meter can give you reflective and incident readings. And if you're planning to use studio flash it can be invaluable. But you can learn a lot just by putting your camera in manual mode, put your camera's meter in spot mode, and then just pay attention to how the camera indicates changes in exposure value (EV) when you put the spot on subjects of different brightness. Take pictures using the different readings and see how the overall picture brightness shifts.

Q: 8. Does this meter have a count-down timer?

A: This meter does not have a count down timer.

Q: 9. Does it come with the lumidisc?

A: The lumidisc comes with the device, if you need to purchase a replacement, it would be this one: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/119344-REG/Sekonic_401_830.html

Q: 10. Can the Sekonic L-308XU accurately measure bulb flash output, e.g. press 25 bulbs?

A: The Sekonic L-308X-U Flashmate Light Meter is only capable of measuring within shutter speeds of 60 seconds to 1/8000.

I continue to be impressed with Manfrotto products. They are consistently well made and packaged. This flexible steel arm is exactly as advertised. I use it to hold a light fixture for some macro work, and it does the job well. I was hoping to use it as a camera mount, but it will not support even the lightest of my kit - a Canon T3i. But the camera exceeds the stated weight capacity of 1.10 lbs, so I can't blame Manfrotto. The company's Superclamp, Magic Arm system is just good stuff: solid, durable, well designed and well manufactured. B&H does it again - good stuff at a great price: what's not to like?

I've read a lot of good reviews about Manfrotto super clamps and flex arms over the past months. I'm glad I finally decided to buy a set. This is an extremely useful tool to have in a photo studio. I currently use mine as a flag holder, attached to a muslin clamp and light stand. It's really worth every penny.

It feels solid and can solve a lot of problems. Even though it's not quite as flexible as I would like, I am able to position it where I need it.

I bought two of these for, insert laugh here, a motorcycle mount using superclamps. The intent was to shoot other bikes as they are behind me using the flex-arm to hold small soft boxes. This worked great. They can hold a lot of weight without bending. Although I have not used them in a studio, I think they're definitely worth the money, and provide great flexibility even with large soft boxes.

Coupled with the Super Clamp, this arm is extremely helpful in my table top studio. Perfect for positioning gobos, reflectors and can even hold a DSLR with a small ball head. Plan on getting two more.

I first bought the light weight model, but it sagged under just a little weight. This arm is what I needed. Who cares about a lighter weight arm that won't hold in position. Sweet!

I Bought this with the super clamp to make a flexible mic stand for my podcast. It is a very easy portable mic stand that can hook onto most anything. I can bend it unhook the super clamp and put it right into my back pack on Im on my way. I all so use this for video taping my comedy sets. Again you can clamp it to most anything and bend it to what ever angle you need and it stays where you need it. I love this combo heavy duty fex- with super clamp

This is a versatile and useful bendable extension that can be used for small cameras, lights, microphones and more. Bascially I got this to supplement my assortment of aluminum extension rods that I use for various devices including action cameras and more. The advantage of this flexible rod is that it can be bent to position the accessory where it needs to be and also that it will give should an impact result whereas a rigid aluminum rod would not. It's fairly rigid and heavy but not too much so.I'll be using this thing for many years for all sorts of odd tasks. It's a good thing to have in your accessory aresenal.
