Q: 1. what in the box? only the hc-x20? no battery/power case??

A: The box's contents for the Panasonic HC-X20 4K Mobile Camcorder with Rich Connectivity and all other items listed on the B&H website are located in the "In the Box," section of the overview of our items. The contents are as follows: Panasonic HC-X20 4K Mobile Camcorder with Rich Connectivity, Power Supply, Power Cable, 5900mAh Battery, Battery Charger, Microphone Holder, Microphone Holder Screw Set, Input Terminal Cap, Eye Cup, Lens Hood, and Limited 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty.

Q: 2. Is the provided inner roll made of paper or metal?

A: The inner core for the Manfrotto Vinyl Background (Superwhite, 9 x 20') is made of metal.

Q: 3. The top collar is supposed to slide when you extend the legs. When I fully loosen, the metal inside collar is still fully engaged which doesn't allow me to slide the legs. What am I missing?

A: You must loosen the bottom collar and make sure that the column is pulled up.

Q: 4. Is the crossbar adjustable or do you have to remove segments to reduce its size?

A: It expands from 58 inches to its full length. No segments.

Q: 5. Is 4K recording oversampled?

A: When recording in 4k the HC-X20 recording would be sampled at 4:2:0.

Q: 6. I have a space where one wall has a window that overlooks a semi-busy street. Can I use this in front of the window to block the occasional truck noise?

A: Yes you can use this sound blanket for your application.

Q: 7. do you know the diameter of the crossbar?

A: The diameter of the crossbar itself is 32 mm (1 1/4 inch). The end caps are 38 mm (1 1/2 inch) without the screws. With the screws in open position, they are about 65 mm (2 1/2 inch), but taking off one screw to slide the background in is not much of a problem

Q: 8. Is this camera actually 4k? I can't seem to find any settings above 2k on it. How can I get it to shoot proper 4k footage? Thank

A: The Panasonic HC-X20 has modes for both HD and 4K. In order to get it into the 4k mode, it needs to be set from HD to 4k in the menu settings.

Q: 9. Is the lens parfocal?

A: The Panasonic HC-X20 4K Mobile Camcorder lens with Rich Connectivity is not truly parfocal. The camera uses a hybrid lens and electronic focus system to retain focus through the zoom.

Q: 10. I saw a review here about the stabilization being jerky and the review is now gone. This was what has deterred me from getting this camera (also my question to see a sample of the Stabilization took me to a web address that had no samples) - Picture that I shoot people chasing them around (while wearing high heels sometimes)... on a basketball court!!!! Or just walking and talking. What is the best setting for this to get the most smooth results? And is there a video sample of the stabilization? The descriptions of the three settings make no sense to me whatsoever so a visual sample of the 3 settings and what Panasonic means would be great! Thank you!

A: The Panasonic HC-X20 4K Mobile Camcorder with Rich Connectivity (B&H# PAHCX20) does have built-in stabilization. You can enable that in the camera's settings. Choose PAN/TILT mode if you will be moving the camera constantly and deliberately, say, if you are shooting a basketball game. If not moving intentionally at all, use the STABLE mode so as to simulate the look of using a tripod. NORMAL is for mixed use.
