Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. i need to know if this will work and pair with go pro hero 9 over bluetooth before purchasing it. Any idea if this will work??

A: It does now with the Blue Slate App generating a qr code used with GO Pro labs. There is a video on youtube about it. search QR timecode for GO PRO.

Q: 2. what would be the means to get time-of-day into this device?

A: The timecode of the Atomos UltraSync BLUE Wireless Timecode Sync for AtomX SYNC and Ninja V can be manually set when the UltraSync BLUE is set to Int Master RF TX mode. Or to get time-of-day, you would have to set the UltraSync BLUE in RF Slave mode so that it can receive time-of-day timecode from another Bluetooth compatible device that supports time-of-day timecode.

Q: 3. will this work with a Gopro Hero 9?

A: Hello Evan, this will become the "master" or "slave" TC as long as the GPH9 has bluetooth. If not, then you may have to get the Ultrasync ONE.

Q: 4. Can I use this with Canon R5C or R6?

A: The Atomos UltraSync BLUE Wireless Timecode Sync for AtomX SYNC and Ninja V is Bluetooth only and therefore cannot connect to the Canon R5 C or the R6.

Q: 5. Can you connect it to Panasonic G 7?

A: As the Panasonic Lumix G7 Mirrorless Camera does not offer Bluetooth, it would not be compatible with the Atomos UltraSync BLUE Wireless Timecode Sync for AtomX SYNC and Ninja V.

Q: 6. Will this work with a BMPCC?

A: Hello Diego, not sure if BMPCC has BT, but if you use it with the NINJA V and SYNC module, yes, if you get the ultasync one, yes but the BLUE model may not work.

Q: 7. What is the process for feeding timecode to this via the output on professional mixers?

A: The Atomos UltraSync BLUE Wireless Timecode Sync is used to feed timecode to up to six devices up to 32.8' away over Bluetooth. It serves as the master timecode generator to output timecode to other devices and keep them in sync. It cannot input timecode that is sent via the output from a professional mixer.

Q: 8. has this been tested to work with the Zoom F6? Will it send start and stop triggers over BT?

A: We have not tested the device specifically with the Zoom F6, but it should work, although time code feed should be continuous to all devices.

Q: 9. I am wanting to use the Zoom F3 with my Red Gemini. But the F3 only uses BT. Is there a way to connect the Blue with the UltraSync One that I would need with my DSMC2?

A: The Atomos UltraSync BLUE Wireless Timecode Sync for AtomX SYNC and Ninja V (B&H# ATOMSYBL01US) can connect with AtomX SYNC devices such as the Atomos UltraSync ONE RF Timecode Sync for AtomX Sync and Ninja V (B&H# ATOMSYON01US). The UltraSync ONE can connect to the RED DIGITAL CINEMA DSMC2 V-LOCK I/O Expander (B&H# REDSMC2IOVLE), which you may own, for sync purposes. You would add this cable to your UltraSync ONE: Atomos UltraSync ONE Timecode/Genlock Y-Cable for RED Camera 4-Pin Sync (BH# ATOMXCAB06) https://bhpho.to/3FuffdL

Q: 10. Is the internal battery user replaceable? If not, what are you supposed to do with it when the battery will no longer hold a charge?

A: Like many phones today the battery is built into the Ultrasync Blue and will provide 20+ hours of power. If the battery needs replacement it would need to be repaired by Atomos. Also you could use USB batteries to power it as well.
