Embrace the variable beam angle of a Fresnel light while keeping a compact kit by using the F8-200 Daylight LED Fresnel from Zylight. It has a flat shape and an 8" lens that extends away from the body, but closes down for storage and transport. Inside is a 200W Quantum Dot LED with a CRI of 96 that gives this unit an output equivalent to that of a 400W HMI fixture. Also, it is balanced with a 5600K color temperature and has an adjustable beam angle from 16-70°. Also, the light can be dimmed from 0-100% via local controls, over DMX, or by using the ZyLink Wireless system.

The physical design is quite durable with an IP54-rated weather resistance and active cooling for reducing heat. It accepts power via a 4-pin XLR input and can accept an optional battery caddie for true portability. Along with this, it has a yoke mount for use on a light stand and comes with a universal AC power supply.

A: No. IP54= Ingress of dust is not totally prevented but dust does not enter in harmful quantities to interfere with the correct operation or impair safety of the unit. The unit can take Low pressure spray from any angle for about 10 minutes – commonly referred to as splash proof but I wont go as far to say it is hurricane proof.

A: It is possible. You would need a inverter and battery of adequate size.

Q: 3. Can I swap the power supplies from the 300d to the 300d ii and visa verca?

A: Unfortunately, the power supplies cannot be swapped between the two versions of this light.

A: The weight of this unit with the yoke attachment is 24.6 lbs.

Q: 5. Can I use a V-mount battery to power this light?

A: There is no V-mount battery solution for the Nanlite FS-200 Daylight LED Monolight as it was only designed to work on AC power.
