The ORCA OR-30 is an audio mixer bag designed to hold and protect your audio mixer and up to six wireless receivers while providing easy device access and generous accessory storage. It is compatible with popular mixers/recorders such as the Sound Devices 302, 633, 833, and 888, Sonosax SX-M32, Zaxcom MAX, and Zoom F8N.

The bag's aluminum frame allows for access to the gear from six directions and its bright blue polyester lining provides easy viewing of the equipment. The top clear TPU allows you to see your gear without opening the bag. The bag features two pockets for accessory storage, front bungee cords to hold a boompole or cables, external detachable pouches, and 9 rubber bands to support your wireless system.

The rubber battery fittings secure your battery in place while the interior sliding system secures your gear. The bag also features detachable carrying handles and a shoulder strap and can be connected to the ORCA Harness (available separately) for easier carrying.

A: The recorder will be slightly taller than the internal height of the bag, but should work with the Orca.

A: The OR-32 will be large for the Zoom F8. Orca generally recommends using the OR-28 for the smaller size. You could also use the OR-30 for a slight bit more room.

Q: 3. Would the Zoom F8n Pro fit on this bag?

A: Yes, the Zoom F8n Pro will fit inside the ORCA OR-32 Audio Mixer Bag, but the dividers will have to be removed and it won't be the most snug fit.

Q: 4. Can the OR-30 hold a Zoom F6 (with Sony L battery) and still have room in that compartment for 1 or 2 Sennheiser G4 receivers, please?

A: The internal dimensions of the ORCA OR-30 Audio Mixer Bag are 10.2 x 6.9 x 4.7" (260 x 175 x 120 mm) and the dimensions of the Zoom F6 Multi-Track Field Recorder are 3.9 x 4.7 x 2.5" (100 x 119.8 x 62.9 mm). This case should provide enough space for the F6, a Sony L-series battery, and one or two Sennheiser EK 100 or EK 500 G4 Camera-Mount Wireless Receivers.

Q: 5. will the main compartment fit another row of 3 recievers for a total of 6?

A: No. I have 633 in 1 row, and 3 receivers in other row, within main bag. Extra receivers beyond that go in front pocket, or side pouches.

A: The Tascam DR680 MkII is compatible with this bag.

A: The ORCA OR-34 Audio Mixer Bag will fit a Zoom F8n, but there will be extra space. The ORCA OR-270 would be recommended instead.

This is my first orca bag and what I was really looking for was accessibility and structure. And this works beautifully. I pair this with my Zoom F8n and I’m able to have access to all sides comfortably and my cables are room as well without bending or being strained. Also, having the Orca harness just fits like a glove (obviously) but the operation and freedom this bag allows was just what I needed to keep my mixer in place, accessories maintained in good use, and access to ports when needed. I never have to take the mixer out which is what I was mainly looking for. This bag makes my kit a solid unit to keep my work day moving along smoothly. 5

This is a solid audio bag that protects the gear well, and keeps things relatively organized. I know the OR-30 is meant for a slightly bigger mixer like the Sound Devices 633, but its not excessively roomy for the MixPre 10-II. I didn't want to give up some of the features this bag has, for the OR-280 that is sized for the MixPre 10. 5

ORCA bags are great. I got this one because I wanted those small pouches. I didn't realize the bag was actually a little bigger then the OR-28, which isn't a problem. The slight largeness is a bonus. I'm able to actually fit four Lectro UCR411a in it. 5

I freelance for all of the broadcast networks doing news and feature shoots. I bought this bag for my back up mixer, a Sound Devices 302 and using this bag has convinced me to buy the larger OR-32 for my other mixer a Sound Devices Pre-Mix 10T. This bag works almost perfectly for broadcast situations. I highly recommend it. 5
