The ORCA OR-34 is an audio mixer bag designed to hold and protect your audio mixer and up to 10 to 12 wireless receivers while providing easy device access and generous accessory storage. It is compatible with popular mixers/recorders such as the Sound Devices 664 plus CL6, 688 plus CL8, 702, 788 plus CL8, the Zaxcom Nomad, and the Zaxcom Nomad plus FP8 and Zaxnet.

The bag's aluminum frame allows for access to the gear from six directions and its bright blue polyester lining provides easy viewing of the equipment. The top clear TPU allows you to see your gear without opening the bag. The bag features two pockets for accessory storage, front bungee cords to hold a boompole or cables, external detachable pouches, and 9 rubber bands to support your wireless system.

The rubber battery fittings secure your battery in place while the interior sliding system secures your gear. The bag also features detachable carrying handles and a shoulder strap and can be connected to the ORCA Harness (available separately) for easier carrying.

A: it depends on SL2- is that a Leica camera? if so, yes it will 'fit"in the Orca bag, it depends on how important a snug fit is to you. Bag interior dimensions: 13 x 7.5 x 9 SD 888 is: 9.6 x 2 x 7.3" / 24.5 x 5.1 x 18.5 cm Is SL2 a Leica camera? SL2 is: 5.75 x 4.21 x 1.65" / 146 x 107 x 42 mm While bag info states its: For Sound Devices 664, 688, 702 & 788 Bag will hold a 888 easily, it depends on SL 2

A: The internal dimensions of the ORCA OR-30 Audio Mixer Bag are 10.2 x 6.9 x 4.7" (260 x 175 x 120 mm) and the dimensions of the Zoom F6 Multi-Track Field Recorder are 3.9 x 4.7 x 2.5" (100 x 119.8 x 62.9 mm). This case should provide enough space for the F6, a Sony L-series battery, and one or two Sennheiser EK 100 or EK 500 G4 Camera-Mount Wireless Receivers.

Q: 10. will the main compartment fit another row of 3 recievers for a total of 6?

A: No. I have 633 in 1 row, and 3 receivers in other row, within main bag. Extra receivers beyond that go in front pocket, or side pouches.

First off, the light blue color makes it so easy to see what's going on in the bag. I actually bought a black porta-brace bag first, but quickly returned it when it was apparent that the black lining made it very hard to see black patch cords against a black SD 633 mixer. I can't stress enough how cool the aluminum frame is and how much sturdier it makes the overall bag. I am carrying a SD 302 mixer in addition to my SD 633 in my OR-34 Mixer Bag, as well as three G3 wireless rx, an Audio Devices BD system, and I still have some room to grow. I do like the trend of bigger, clear covers for the top of the bag - that way your antennas won't get smashed. The OR-34 incorporates a larger clear cover that is also removeable. The bag also comes with a generously padded shoulder strap but I use a harness so I don't have much experience working with the strap. By the way, B&H made the exchange of the porta-brace bag for the OR-34 bag a quick and painless experience. This is why B&H always gets my business. 5

I like the Orca bags because they are well designed. They also have a rigid (aluminum?) frame that helps it not get smashed when loading or traveling. This is way bigger than my OR-27, I wanted to be able to throw any mixer in there and have plenty of room for everything else. Lots of pockets and transmitter pouches. My other one doesn't have removable handles so I like how this one does. Sometimes they get in the way. I WISH there were tethers or a way to lock in the mixer in the center of the bag. When wearing it with bulky clothing it can be harder to see screen etc. when it is right next to your body. 5
