Q: 1. How do I monitor the audio during recording?

A: Hi, theres a headphone out. But with my unit it sounds kind of crappy. I read online that the headphone out is soft. So I just trust it is working fine. And of course it is fine on the computer.

Q: 2. What is the SPL of the mics?

A: Unfortunately that spec is not specified from the Sony.

Q: 3. Once the take ends, does the actor have to stop the recording and then press record once the new take starts?

A: Yes.See p.11 (Starting and stopping recording) in the Owner's Manual:a href= http://tascam.com/product/dr-10l/downloads/ target= _blank http://tascam.com/product/dr-10l/downloads//aThank you for your interest in TASCAM products.

Q: 5. Is there a way to download the audio files to a MacBook Pro running Mac OS 10.13.4 (High Sierra) without taking the memory card out? When I connect the DR-10L with the suppled USB cable, it does not show up on my desktop. What is the file format of the memory card?

A: .WAV file it the format it records.

Q: 6. Does it come in white for a brides dress?

A: Unfortunately it does not come in white.

Q: 7. What foam windscreen do you recommend for the DR-10L? And not the Auray WLF-014-3. The WLF-014-3 seems to be too large and stands out.

A: Here's a more form fitting windscreen solution B&H # AUWLMOLM2S.

Q: 8. is there any link here to mic the bride using this? Thank u in advance

A: I'm sure you could do it, but I'd suggest doing the groom instead. It's hard to predict what kind of dress they will have. It picks up both quite nicely and with the dual record, you can even set your gain a little higher for her voice.

Q: 9. Which version is this, V1 or V2, or is it just a firmware/software update?

A: There's only one version of this unit, they have a firmware update that can be done once you purchase the unit.

Q: 10. Will I be able to switch between 44.1hz & 48hz for recording purposes?

A: Be forewarned; you can only record HiRes audio to the internal memory. As soon as you switch to the micro SC card, you can only record at 44.
