The lightweight nXp400 4-Channel Multi-Mode Network Power Amplifier from Ashly features programmable output on each channel selectable via rear panel DIP switches with swept load impedance monitoring. Audio is processed via the 32-bit SHARC DSP at 48 or 96 kHz sample rates and a built-in signal generator is provided for test tone and noise-masking.

The nXp400 amplifier comes pre-installed with Dante network audio module and features aux preamp outputs. Ethernet control is supported via the free Protea NE software (downloadable from Ashly's website) and serial data control is possible via Ashly programmable remotes or third party controllers (available separately). The Protea DSP (Digital Signal Processing) software is included for dynamics, gain, equalization, matrix mixer, crossover, delay, and metering.

The amplifier is suitable for live sound and fixed installation sound systems at performance venues, stadiums, arenas, convention centers as well as schools, store fronts, and places of worship.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work directly with the ILME-FX6?

A: Yes, the Sony SMADP3D Multi-Interface Shoe Adapter will work with the Sony FX6 Full-Frame Cinema Camera, as it contains the Multi-Interface shoe necessary for compatibility.

Q: 2. Does this ONLY work with dual channel receivers? I would like option to upgrade receivers with same she adapter in the future.

A: Yea, turns out you have to buy it, then find the answer buried in the tiny instruction manual . B&H: This kind of info needs to be in the description!! More $ to UPS.

Q: 3. Will this work with a URX-P03?

A: The SMAD-P3D cannot be used with the URX-P03 nor the URX-P40. The Sony SMAD-P5 is directly compatible with the URX-P03.

Q: 4. Will this adapter work with the FX100?

A: As long as it has the multi adapter hot shoe

Q: 5. Will this work on the a6300 using the dual channel wireless receiver?

A: The Sony SMADP3D Multi-Interface Shoe Adapter is compatible with the Sony a6300. User may connect the Sony URX-P03D 2-Channel Portable Receiver to the a6300 using this multi-interface shoe adapter.

Q: 6. Can I get 4 audio channels, like the XLR-K3M can do? I am using the SAMD P3D on A7siii. I can only get one stereo channel to the camera. When I try to set the camera menu to audio hot shoe settings it says my audio device needs to be switch to digital. I cannot find that setting. It worked on the XLR-K3M Camera firmware updated Please advise

A: No, this adapter provides two channels (left and right) of audio to the a7SIII when using a Sony URX-P03D dual-channel wireless receiver. The audio signal sent to the camera is analog, not digital. The adapter enables a wireless connection to the camera's mic input using the Multi-Interface Shoe.

Q: 7. Av is labeled 7.2 On the .2 on the sub are the sub individually controlled? Thanks

A: They appear to be controlled as a pair in the menus.

Q: 8. The Sony SMADP3D was listed as a recommended adapter for the PMW-300K1. I bought both and have realized the PMW-300K1 doesn't have the necessary MI shoe. Is there an additional adapter sold to make this work with the PMW300?

A: Unfortunately, the recommendation may have been an error. You are correct in that the Sony PMW-300K1 does not have an MI shoe. There is no adapter available at this moment that will allow you to integrate the Sony SMADP3D with the camera.

Q: 9. Is it true that using this on an FS7 will disable the XLR inputs on the side? One reviewer with an FS7 says, you can assign the hot shoe to be either channel 1 and 2 or 3 and 4. if you use the hot shoe and this adaptor as channel 1 and 2, the xlrs on the side of the camera dont work.

A: I used this adapter and the XLR inputs on a Sony FS7 mark ii allowing me to record 4 input channels of audio simultaneously. This may not be the case for the first generation FS7 but I had no issues on the mark ii. The only thing was the hot shoe inputs MUST be inputs 1&2 then XLR inputs on channels 3&4.

Q: 10. What's the difference between this and the cheaper non D smad-p3 version?

A: The SMADP3D is designed for use with the new Sony URX-P03D dual channel receiver.
