You could use a program like bitlocker to encrypt the drive. If you are looking for a portable solution, you could divide the data across 2 or 3 Lacie 5TB Rugged drives.

A: As long as you have a USB 2 or USB 3 port on the computer there shouldn't be an issue. It works for my iMac.

A: For any Ipads with Native USBC, this drive would connect directly and would work as long as it is formatted correctly. For older ipads an adapter would be needed based on the model of tablet, but the drive would work as well as long as it is formatted correctly.
