It can hold up to three rectangular filters, or two rectangular filters and one round filter such as a rotating circular polarizer, for the Cokin P Series Filter Holders.

Rectangular Cokin P Series Filters are 84mm-wide and 1.6mm-thick. A Cokin P Series Filter Holder Adapter Ring can be used to connect this filter holder to the front of a lens.

That's because this product relies on the pressure and friction between the rivets on the grid and the inside of the reflector to hold the two together. While it's not impossible that a particular grid or reflector was made too large or too small, most likely it will just take a small amount of force to unite the two, and if the issue is just the rivets then you can be sure that it was made according to the specifications.
