Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this receiver get triggered by the Transmitter PRO? I recently bought both and it not triggering. Note I updated both devices. I used the PRO on the Nikon d750 and the receiver plus on Nikon flash sb 700

A: Yes this receiver can be trigger by any current Elinchrom Skyport Transmitter, even the Pro model.

Q: 2. would this Rotolight version trigger also Elinchron ranger quadra units or is it exclusively to Rotolight lights ? can do both? Thanks

A: The Skyport transmitters can work with Skyport equipped Elinchroms as well as the Rotolight.

Q: 3. Will it work with sony F60M External Flash?

A: It work with any flash set in manual mode that has a standard hot shoe. TTL or HSS will not be available.

Q: 4. Do you know if this item is made in China or England? Thank you.

A: This is manufactured in the UK.

Q: 5. Will this work on my Nikon SB-910 with a Elinchrom EL Skyport Plus HS?

A: It will fire the flash (manual mode only). Remote power-level setting is not available.

Q: 6. Can someone confirm, definitively, whether these use AA or AAA batteries? The specs say AA, it says AA on the Elinchrom website, and the Transmitter definitely uses AA..... but the one review on here says this is wrong and that it actually uses AAA. It seems odd that the transmitter and receiver would use different types of battery.

A: Double AA

Q: 7. Does the work with the new Canon EL-5 Flash with Hotshot?

A: Yes, the receiver will drive anything that has a standard hot shoe. End-users beware that the system is a manual driven unit and no TTL will be provided.

Q: 8. Is this compatible for Fuji XT2 with Elinchrom BR500?

A: This is a receiver unit for a flash or any monolight which does not have a built in radio trigger. To fire an Elinchrom BRX 500 from the Fuji X-T2, you would need the Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus B&H # ELSTP.

Q: 9. can the d5600 do high speed with this transmitter?

A: Unfortunately, the D5600 does not offers Auto FP Sync (high speed sync), therefore you cannot use this feature with the above transmitter.

Q: 10. Which trigger works best with a Pentax K3

A: Canon... Most Canon compatible triggers will work on the K3. You will lose some functionality, particularly TTL and HSS. That's the only issue I have with Pentax. They and third Party equipment suppliers don't support Pentax cameras. Whether it's K1 or the APS-C bodies. I have a K3 and several Pentax lenses & lovem'.I have had some success with Canon configured triggers, best advice I can give you is to contact Rotolight and/or Elinchrome.
