Capture brilliant images of parrot fish, moray eels, and coral reefs with your Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II Mirrorless MFT Digital Camera in Aquatica's AE-M1 Mk II Underwater Housing. It has a depth rating of 295', which is upgradeable upon request to 426'. This version of the housing also includes a pre-installed vacuum check system, which allows you to confirm watertight integrity before the dive. A manual Nikonos connector enables the attachment of optional external strobes via sync cords.

The housing provides access to virtually all camera functions via mechanical controls. It also has an ergonomic design with 2 grips that offer improved handling and attachment points for optional lighting arms. Built for durability, especially resistance to corrosion, the housing is constructed from an anodized, machined aluminum alloy.

The AE-M1 Mk II ships without a required lens port, and accepts various interchangeable ports for different lenses. For complete compatibility details, see the port chart.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How well does this fit the Mk III?

A: This bracket will fit well with the EM-1 MK3.

Q: 2. Is there an L-bracket compatible with the manfrotto 290 dual tripod? If not, is there a plate that can be used with this L-bracket and the manfrotto tripod? Thank you!

A: The Manfrotto 290-dual uses Manfrotto's 200PL proprietary plate and there currently isn't an L-bracket designed to work with them. You are able to attach a 200PL to the bottom of the L-bracket but not the L-component. In both cases, this defeats the purposes of the RRS L-bracket set for the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk II/III.

Q: 3. Will this plate fit the OMD EM-1 mark II?

A: It fits both the E-M1 Mark II and the E-M1 Mark III as well as the OM-1.

Q: 4. Does the HLD-7 include the battery, or is that a separate purchase?

A: That is a separate purchase since a battery does not come with the grip. In my case I opted for several of the third party batteries which included a nice wall charger too and after a couple of years of regular everyday use work quite well.

Q: 5. I am looking for a plate that is compatible with the OM-D EM5 MK III, including the non-rotating lip -- is this it?

A: No, the Acratech Quick Release Plate for Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II is for the Version II not III. This one will work on the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III, Really Right Stuff L-Plate Set for Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III BH #RE25429 • MFR #BOEM5MKIII-L SET

Q: 6. Is the HLD-7 Battery Grip rechargeable

A: No.The grip is able to hold one extra battery inside it, but it is not possible to charge the battery in the grip. You would have to use your standard external charger to charge it. The grip does have an optional AC adapter to power it for studio type applications, but the AC power adapter will not charge the battery.

Q: 7. Anyone have issues with the magnets affecting the camera in anyway? Thanks, Ben

A: There have been no reports to our knowledge regarding the magnets in this plate causing issues.

Q: 8. Please can you tell me if the optional AC Adapter AC-3 actually charges the battery as well?

A: No, it does not charge the battery as well. It is only an external power source.

Q: 9. would this fit Olympus e-520. If not do you have one?

A: That will not fit on the Olympus e-520. There were some third party grips but those are no longer available.

Q: 10. I have the HLD-9 Battery Holder attached to my EM1 Mark II. Does this bracket still work with that accessory on the camera?

A: No - it does not. The RRS bracket is meant to be mounted directly under the camera body!
