Designed on the principals of "Smaller, Lighter, Brighter, Sharper," the Opticron MM4 60 GA ED 60mm Travelscope is built with a large objective, extra-low dispersion (ED) glass, and fully multi-coated optics and measures just 10" long. The glass and coatings ensure accurate color rendition with improved clarity and contrast, while the large 60mm objective lens draws in copious amounts of light to boost its performance in challenging conditions such as dawn and dusk or when trying to see into wooded areas under dense canopies. The short form factor enables users to hand hold it for convenient glassing on the go without a support system.

This iteration of the MM4 60 GA ED is offered here without an eyepiece for those users who already own Opticron eyepieces and are looking to upgrade their scope and is compatible with HR, HDF, and SDL eyepieces. The two-speed focusing system features an 8:1 reducer gear to allow for fast coarse and precision fine focusing, and the straight-through viewing configuration makes finding and tracking subjects faster and easier versus angled designs. For optimum eyepiece orientation, the tripod collar rotates up to 90° in both directions, and a 1/4"-20 mount makes it compatible with many tripods, quick release plates, and other popular support systems like window mounts.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the Pentax PF-65ED II be used to view the moon and stars ?

A: Yes , for casual viewing

Q: 2. Are there any extenders or eyepieces for increasing the magnification? Scope is just OK at 200 yards and would like something to see targets at 300 yards; less than an inch.

A: Unfortunately no this scope we do not have any add on eyepieces for this scope. My sincere apologies.

Q: 3. What IPone adapter works with this scope?

A: There are many Digi scoping adapters on the market that will work. Here is one example: Opticron USM-2 Universal Smartphone Mount for Digiscoping BH #OPUSM2USM • MFR #50218

Q: 4. The video shows what looks like a completely different scope than this one. It shows the focusing mechanism as just a single rotation ring on the body. This one is described as having small coarse and fine rotation rings separate from the body. Which is correct?

A: The video on the page of the Vortex Razor HD 11-33x50 Spotting Scope (Angled Viewing) shows a different scope. While there are similarities, the focusing mechanism is as indicated on the page, and not as indicated in the video.

Q: 5. I have a canon T3i. Can I take clear pictures through this scope? What is the B&H part number to attach the T3i?

A: All you would need to mount your Canon T3i onto this Spotting Scope is a T-Mount Adapter. You could do the Vello Lens Mount Adapter- T-Mount Lens to Canon EOS Camera. What you will do is peel the eyecup part of the scope off, and the T-Adapter Ring will thread onto the top of the Eyepiece where the Eyecup was. Then you can mount your camera onto that ring. A: There is no adapter we are aware of that will work to attach a Nikon P900 to that spotting scope.

Q: 7. Where is this scope made?

A: According to the information we have, our current inventory's Country of Origin is Japan. Please be aware this can change over the product's production life without notice.

Q: 8. It uses standard astronomy eyepieces. Can it uses a 90 degree diagonal like astronomy telescope?

A: Since the spotting scope uses standard 1.25” eyepieces any 1.25” diagonal will comply.

Q: 9. is the eyecup roll up/down or twist up/down?

A: There is no roll or twist eyecups with the Nikon ProStaff 3 16-48x60 Spotting Scope

Q: 10. Can this scope be attached to a Pentax K10?

A: Yes you can attach your Pentax K10 onto this scope, you would just need a T-Ring Adapter to attach your body. The eyepiece part of the scope peels off then there is a threading that the T-Ring threads on to. The T-Ring you could get is the Vello T Mount Lens to Pentax K Camera Adapter.
