Designed for Opticron's 60mm and 70mm IS R spotting scopes, the HR3 Zoom Eyepiece delivers 16-48x on the 60mm model and 18-54x on the 70mm version. To limit eye strain long-duration observation sessions, it maintains a long and comfortable eye relief through the zoom range, starting at 20mm at low magnification and moving to 16mm at high power. It features anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics to complement those used on the spotting scopes, and a twist-up rubber eyecup allows for comfortable use with or without eyewear.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this ZEISS Victory Harpia 95 hook up with Canon mirrorless camera body with RF mount? If so, what adapter should be used?

A: You will need (2) items. The Novagrade T-Mount Digiscoping Adapter BH #NOUA00T101 • MFR #UA-00T1-01 to position over the eyepiece The Vello T-Mount Lens to Canon RF-Mount Camera Lens Adapter BH #VELACRFT • MFR #LA-CRF-T to attack to your DSLR body. Those (2) pieces will now screw together.

Q: 2. Would the TeleVue 40mm Plossl eyepiece focus OK with this scope?

A: Yes, the Tele Vue Plossl 40mm eyepiece will fit in the Pentax scope. The Pentax scope can use any 1.25 eyepiece. But it hasn't been tested to our knowledge, so your results may vary.

Q: 3. Does it have field flattener?

A: There is no field flattener designed for then Pentax PF-80ED 80mm Spotting Scope

Q: 4. Hi, I have Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III, what kind of adapter can use for this camera, for full frame pictures?

A: The Vixen Optics SLR Camera Adapter G will work with the Vello Lens Mount Adapter - T Mount Lens to Canon EOS Camera. Website link to Vixen: http://bhpho.to/29o5pgyWebsite link to T-Ring: http://bhpho.to/1l1cqn1

Q: 5. Does anyone know if the TeleVue 40mm Plossl eyepiece will focus properly with this scope. This eyepiece requires much more focus tube extension to focus with my small refractor scope compared with the other Televue Plossl eyepieces tha I have?

A: Yes, the Tele Vue Plossl 40mm eyepiece will fit in the Pentax scope. The Pentax scope can use any 1.25 eyepiece. But it hasn't been tested to our knowledge, so your results may vary.

Q: 6. Does this spotting scope have any reticles or illuminated lines for guidance? If not, what other Zeiss spotting scope have reticles? Thanks

A: Spotting scopes don't have reticles. Only rifle scopes have reticles.

Q: 7. Would this be able to be used for other models? such as a vortex viper spotter?

A: I don't see why not. As long as the dimensions are similar to the Kowa's. Bodies Length is about 311mm, and front objective 66mm. So I would measure your scope before hand to confirm.

Q: 8. can I put a canon camera body on the telescope in order to take photos, how does it work ?

A: Yes you can. However I would need to know exactly what Canon Camera you have to recommend the proper adapter to attach it onto the scope.

Q: 9. Does this scope have image stabilization capability

A: The ZEISS Victory Harpia 23-70x95 Spotting Scope and all other current spotting scopes do not have IS. The magnification of a spotting scope is too much for current IS systems to handle.

Q: 10. For digiscoping, what accessories do you recommend ? I use Pentax K5-II.

A: Unfortunately that camera is no longer available. And I would need to know what spotting scope you have. You will need an adapter for your scope and a T ring for your camera. Remove the eyepiece from the scope and replace it with the adapter. Then remove the lens from your camera and replace it with the T ring. Then screw the T ring onto the adapter of the scope and start shooting.
