When placed within a Print File 5 x 7 Polypropylene FoldFlap Sleeve, the surfaces of a film sheet or print are protected against fingerprints, scratches, dirt, dust, moisture, fading, and chemical staining.

Each sleeve features a folder configuration that allows a film sheet or print to be easily inserted or removed along its length. Once a film sheet or print is placed inside, it can be secured by using the sleeve's integrated flap to lock both sides of the sleeve together, creating a firm seal that can be opened when needed.

Q: 1. What type of ink should we purchase to print 4x4s? Thank you!

A: I own one of these. When you purchase paper, it comes with the appropriately sized Dye Sub ribbon. It doesn't use ink. You would probably have to buy 4x6 paper. The printer may cut images at 4x4 for you, or you might have to trim them yourself from 4x6. I run 5x7 paper and was told that it would only cut 5x7, but it also cuts at 3.5x5. Hope that helps.

A: NO! And you would never want to do that! When you change the paper you always change the ribbon and vice a versa!

Q: 6. I'm curious if this printer will work on transparency films (I'm looking to make small transparencies to by viewed under moderate magnification).

A: The DNP DS-40 cannot print on transparency films. This printer prints on specially designed paper for dye-sublimation (heat transfer) printing. The process would melt the transparency media. If you wish to print on transparency films, then an inkjet printer, such as the Canon PIXMA MG6420 Wireless Color All-in-One Inkjet Photo Printer B&H# CAMG6420 would be a better option.

Q: 7. i try to print a passport photo but cannot find the settings?

A: I dare to say that I don't use 4 X 6 paper much but the right size paper is crucial.You must go to settings, select devices, scroll down to devices and printers and select. Find the DS40 device and right click on the Icon. Select printing preferences and under layout you should see Advanced to lower right of box. Select advanced and find paper size, select the size for 6x4 x2 I believe is correct for 2 X 4 Prints trial and error may be best option. Close all boxes first then try to print

A: No it does not. You have to buy paper and ink separately. You can buy 4x6 or 5x7

A: No this paper roll would not have a paper end caps on both sides.
