Q: 1. What is the diameter of the folded bag when you put the reflector back in it?

A: There will be slight variance from reflector to reflector, but about 21 inches (just over 53cm) is right.

Q: 2. What's the diff between VCT and ACT? Two answers here seem to conflate them; would like clarification. Thanks!

A: VCT and ACT are two different types of locking plate systems, where one (VCT) uses a v like wedge to lock into place, and the other (ACT) use the Arca-Type system. This Zacuto ACT Baseplate use the ACT system. The biggest difference other than the method in which the quick release is shaped is the speed at which the plate mount can be released, with VCT being a faster system more often used by professionals.

Q: 3. How do I attache the reflector?

A: Excellent question, because the attachment is somewhat flimsy. The two outer pieces( that protrude away from the ends of the main shaft) push against the reflector. You create a slight compression on the reflector by sliding the holders inward, then tightening the two knobs in the center of the shaft to maintain the compression. There is a little spring clip in the two holders that helps hold the reflector, but just barely. I've been able to make this work in a studio, but if anyone bumps it, or creates a breeze, the reflector will fall off. You cannot rotate the reflector without it falling off. This means one of the ends of the holder needs to be attached to the highest elevation part of the reflector and the other holder needs to be attached at the lowest elevation part of the reflector. There is a real opportunity for someone to design a better reflector holder - specifically the two pieces on the ends of the shaft. I own (and use) this one and a different brand with a different mechanism and they're both flimsy. This holder absolutely will not work outdoors.

Q: 4. is this compatible with Hoodman Glasses Model Hoodeye Eyecup for Sony Alpha a7, a7R, a7S, and a7 II Models B&H # HOHEYESG MFR # HEYESG?

A: Its compatible with most eyecups, I use it with the Kinotehnic electronic viewfinder. However to ascertain please check the diameter of the hoodman eyecup.

Q: 5. Is the small red sliding camera mounting plate compatible with arca type clamps such as the Kessler kwik?

A: The sliding camera plate is not arca type. However Zacuto offers the VCT Pro Tripod Doc, B&H # ZAZVCTPD, for this exact purpose. https://bhpho.to/2F3poO0

Q: 6. How does this compare to Godox or Phottix? Is the light the same or is there a difference? Thank you.

A: There is a two sided Phottix 41x72 that has a zebra gold which is different but it does not have 5 surface options only two. B&H does not sell a Godox option in this size.

Q: 7. yikes how to fold this back up?

A: I would recommend viewing the YouTube video listed at the link below or refer to the instruction manual for instructions on how to close the Impact 5-in-1 Collapsible Oval Reflector - 42x72 (1x1.8 m). It just takes practice. http://bit.ly/1PLjQ9d

Q: 8. Is this compatible with the Zacuto Z-finder for the Canon C100?

A: Those two items are not compatible. You need the large version. http://bhpho.to/1hrWRRI

Q: 9. Does this baseplate support 19mm rods? Or does anyone know if it has an attachment that can support 19mm rods?

A: This baseplate does not support 19 mm rods, but there is an adapter from Zacuto called a Z-J-1 Jeep Rod Adapter: https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/587577-REG/Zacuto_Z_J_1_Z_J_1_JEEP_Rod_Adapter.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/587577-REG/Zacuto_Z_J_1_Z_J_1_JEEP_Rod_Adapter.html/aBasically you would need 15mm rods that attach to the front of this baseplate, and the Jeep adapter would fit onto those 15mm rods and would give you the ability to attach 19mm rods at the proper spacing. I have used adapters similar to this and was surprised at how stiff and strong they were.

Q: 10. How long of a M6 Screw do I need for the rosette? Looking to attach the FS7 arm, but need a new screw.

A: From what you are saying, our suggestion is that you get this. Zacuto Zgrip Trigger for Sony FS7M2 B&H # ZAZZG72T.
