The 4' long Ci 1 cable connects the 1/4" output of your guitar or bass to the bodypack transmitter's locking 3.5mm input.
The adjustable input sensitivity on the transmitter accommodates instruments with passive and active electronics, and even line-level audio.
The rugged, all-metal transmitter features a programmable mute function and can be locked out to prevent accidental changes during a performance. A backlit LCD displays essential information and provides fast menu access. The transmitter syncs to the receiver via infrared with a quick press on the Sync button.
The SK 100 G4 is powered via two AA batteries or a rechargeable BA 2015 Accupack battery (available separately). Side contacts allow for recharging the Accupack without removing it from the transmitter—requires the L 2015 quick-charging unit (available separately).
The robust, metal EM 100 receiver offers a high-contrast, black and white LCD. The display uses a streamlined menu system with a dedicated Escape button for quick menu navigation and shows battery status of the associated transmitter.
The system features 20 fixed frequency banks with up to 12 compatible frequency presets and 1 user bank with up to 12 user-programmable frequencies.
To prevent interference, the EM 100 receiver's true-diversity reception compares incoming signals on two independent receiver circuits to ensure optimal RF quality. To ensure crystal clear audio, Sennheiser's proprietary HDX compander technology maximizes the microphone's signal-to-noise ratio, while avoiding RF noise.
The built-in equalizer enables you to change the frequency response of the output signal; you can reduce the bass range and boost the treble range. The receiver also offers an adjustable output level range of 48 dB to match the audio input of your mixing board or PA system.
The back panel houses a balanced XLR output as well as an unbalanced 1/4" output. A kit is included for rackmount installation. The unit comes with a universal power supply and EU, US, UK, Korea, Australia, and China adapters.
To simplify and speed up your workflow, two RJ10 data networking ports allow you to daisy-chain up to 12 receivers and quickly perform a frequency setup for the entire multi-channel system via the Easy Setup function.
If you assign the frequencies manually, you can expand the setup to accommodate a maximum of 20 receivers. An RJ10 cable is included.
The detachable antennas with BNC sockets allow you to create a larger system using up to four EM 100 receivers connected to a single pair of remote antennas. This setup requires the ASA 214 active antenna splitter (available separately).
Adding a pair of A 1031-U omnidirectional antennas or a pair of A 2003 UHF directional antennas increases the range of your system and offers increased protection against interference.
Sennheiser offers a variety of lavalier, headset, and handheld microphone options to adapt your EW system as your needs evolve.
- The discrete ME 2-II and MKE 2 lavalier mics provide exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
- The lightweight ME 3-II headset mic provides exceptional clarity in spoken-word applications.
- The SKM 100 handheld transmitter is available with three different mic capsule options for presenters and performers who prefer the flexibility of a handheld microphone.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. What is the best frequency for primary use in Kansas City area? How long will this new mic system likely be legal to use per FCC anticipated rulings? I realize this is a bit of fortune telling, but just want to get a feel for it.
A: Any of the frequency bands will work well in Kansas City. The FCC has not announced any upcoming changes.
Q: 2. does the receiver work with both of the plug in and the body pack?
A: It works with both transmitters however it does not function with both at the same time, is either the plug on transmitter or the lavalier bodypack one at the time.
Q: 3. When using the plug-on combo, does that make you have to choose between using the receiver with the plug on or the lav mic? So if I wanted to use both at the same time, would it mean that I need to purchase a second receiver?
A: Yes, the Sennheiser EW 100 ENG G4 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System gives you the option of using either the bodypack transmitter or the plug-on transmitter with the receiver. You would need to purchase a second receiver on the same frequency band to be able to use both transmitters at the same time.
Q: 4. How many clip-on mics(ME2-II Lavalier) can be used at one time with this receiver?
A: This combo kit allows for one mic to be used: either the handheld transmitter or the lavalier mic with the belt pack tranmitter. Additional lavalier microphones would need a full wireless system, such as the Sennheiser EW 100 G4-ME2 Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System (A1: 470 to 516 MHz), BH #SEEW100G4MA1.
Q: 5. +48?
A: That comes with an SKP100 plug-on transmitter which would only be compatible with dynamic microphones. For compatibility with condenser microphones that require phantom power, you need the SKP500 plug-on transmitter instead. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1385722-REG/sennheiser_ew_500_film_g4_gw1_ew_500_film_g4.html
Q: 6. Can these lavalier be wirelessly connected to a soundboard?
A: Yes. The Sennheiser EW 112P G4 Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System can be connected to a soundboard (mixer). The system comes with two receiver output cables, one with a 3.5mm connector and one with an XLR connector. You can use the cable with the XLR connector to send the output from the receiver into a mic input on the board.
Q: 7. With the "2x MKE 2 Omni Lav & Plug-On Combo", will I need a third receiver to run both lavs and the plug-on at the same time?
A: The EK500 G4 receiver in each set included in the Sennheiser EW 500 G4 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System Kit is a single channel receiver capable of receiving wireless signal from either the body pack or plug-on transmitter. To utilize the lavaliers at the same time as the plug-on transmitter, extra receivers would indeed need to be implemented. Here is the link to the spare EK 500 G4 Pro Wireless Camera-Mount Receiver on its own for adding onto this kit: https://bhpho.to/3OBTkWc. Be sure to order a spare receiver on the same frequency range chosen for the combo kit.
Q: 8. I want to buy shennheiser ew513 g4 gw1. the note is more on the way. So when can I buy? When will in stock?
A: The Sennheiser EW 112 G4 is Back Ordered not on the way. Back Ordered items can sometimes take a while to come in. The best thing to do is fill out the Request Stock Alert box. Then you will be emailed upon arrival of the product.
Q: 9. What is the difference between A1, A, and G? What should I use if I'm filming mainly in Los Angeles?
A: Sennheiser breaks up the legal frequency range for wireless microphones of 470-608 MHz into three blocks. I would recommend the A1 block for Los Angeles, which is 540-516 MHZ. But all of the three groups have 1680 frequencies, and the ability to auto scan to find a clean channel.
Q: 10. Will the condenser headset work with this system?
A: The SK100 bodypack transmitter will support condenser headset microphones, that use the 3.5mm locking connection, wired for Sennheiser. Here is an example: https://bhpho.to/3BUpB6s
