Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this filter withstand the heat of a 1000W or 2000W fresnel tungsten light?

A: The Roscolux filters are designed to insure the longest possible life under hot theatrical lights. While they will work fine with 1000W and 2000W lights, all filter gels may eventually warp and/or melt under high heat and constant usage. However, these are among the best options and are the industry standard for high temperature theatrical light fixture usage. They have a softening point of 125 C and a melting point of 300 C.

Q: 2. Could someone tell me how "translucent" it is? I'm looking to use it similarly to a red filter over the lens when shooting B+W

A: This filter is not filter is not optically correct to use in front of the lens.

Q: 3. I wana but thode but que is i these fitt on 1k and 2k light and these all color come with just one gel or each color hav 3,4 diff stops gels

A: I'm not sure what the first sentence is asking.. it each gel is a different color and is only 1 stop. You can layer them to make them darker. It's the most widely used gel packs by all professional photographers if that helps you at all

Q: 4. Does this pack include the half density soft frost or 3004?

A: Unfortunately, Rosco 3004 is not included in this kit.

Q: 5. what do you use to tape this to a window?

A: I don't use tape...One way to put ND on a window is cut to size, wet down the window with plain water and sponge, press the gel on the glass and wipe/press down with a squeegee to smooth it.

Q: 6. Would it be possible to leave the ND gel attached to the window for an extended period (for example, 1 year)? Would it stick for that long using the window cleaner solution attachment approach?

A: This ND has no adhesive.

Q: 7. Frost means its matt finish on this one? So its not clear see through?

A: This filter would have a matte finish to it.

Q: 8. Is this light heat resistant enough to withstand continuous light from a daylight rated fresnel light?

A: No, it will melt.

Q: 9. Is there any specific temperature coefficient of resistance? Of course, heatwise speaking!

A: If you are concerned about heat you can use heat shield with it. https://bhpho.to/3mIvqvu

Q: 10. What is the thickness?

A: .002 inches / 50 microns
