A: Probably, I replaced the HDD in my 2012 iMAC with a SSD using this adapter. But first I mirrored the original HDD drive to the SSD, which you probably can't do. The other issue is you may need an OWC HDD temperature sensor (google it). My old IMAC with the SSD is great, massive speed increase so it is worth doing.

A: Yes it will Work for iMac 27 inch 2010 SATA HDD You may need one of our thermal sensor cable to go with it to keep the fans from running at full speed constantly.

A: WD 1TB Internal SSD drive can become a bootabel drive if you install an operating system on it, should you want to make it an external boot drive you will also need an enclosure.

A: The two drives are different. WD10JPVX is the newer drive with a SATA III connection. WD10JPVT is a discontinued drive that had a SATA II connection.
