Details: With a 50mm f/1.2 L on my EOS 6D, I positioned myself a fixed distance from a subject and used the center (cross-type) point for auto focus. For each of three apertures (1.2, 8 and 16), I manually focused the lens to either extreme followed by grabbing focus via auto focus. While I didn't use a stopwatch, I could sense no difference in focus speed between the different apertures.
