The black iSeries 1510-9 Waterproof Utility Case from SKB features an empty interior which can be customized to fit the items you are transporting. The injection-molded case is made of polypropylene copolymer resin and is waterproof, gasketed, dust-tight, and submersible (MIL-C-4150J). The case is also resistant to UV, solvents, corrosion, fungus, and impact damage. Molded-in hinges and trigger release latches add to the security of the case. A comfortable rubber overmolded cushion grip handle snaps into vertical/horizontal place for convenient carrying. A built-in automatic ambient pressure equalization valve (MIL-STD-648C) allows for safe air travel.

A: Hi Jay, Up to a 15 Macbook Pro or similar sized 15 laptop will fit into the case. That being said a 15 will be pretty snug and does not provide a lot of protection where the strap holds the laptop into position. Great for carry on if weight is not an issue. My wife is not able to handle this case. As far as I know, there are no weight restrictions for domestic flights. As long as you can lift it into the overhead compartment, it is a great piece of luggage. 5

I did a weadding receny in a beach and I could not be happier since I rolled my equipment even through sand and water. The other reason I am happy is that I did chain it to my balcony in the hotel so as not have condensation the next morning due to the high humidity of cancun. 5

Honest advice - do not by the case with pre-cut foam. It's way more fun to pluck through the foam how you prefer and make the case shapes the ones you want. I spent the better part of an afternoon rearranging the pieces until I had the arrangement I wanted and then pulling the foam out. 3 cheers for consumer-pulled foam! 5

I got this particular case because it works with every major airline's carry on limits. With some careful layout, I was able to get 2 full frame Sony A7 Series, 2 a6400 (all vertical), 3 full size zooms (each the size of the 70-200, and packed horizontally), and one slightly smaller zoom (packed vertically). Easy to assemble the highly customizable spaces, and seems very solid. I will have my first travel on a plane in a few weeks, but this seems like it will do well at protecting everything. 5

This thing is iron clad. I’d trust it with my children (if I had any). I’ve been hauling all of my camera gear in a backpack for years and finally made the switch to the Pelican 1510. No more back pain in the airport. This thing has wheels and it’s the perfect carry on size. Did I mention it’s practically bullet proof. I’ve never felt more secure with my gear storage. Couldn’t recommend this case enough, just buy it in a different color than me so we don’t accidentally swap gear =] 5

This case is outstanding and I cannot imagine having better protection for my gear in such a compact size. I purchased this case six months ago but put off writing a review until I felt I had really had an opportunity to test its full capacities. I am a wedding photographer and the bag has served me well for that use, but that is a low hurdle and most cases would have done as well. Finally in May I took the case on a week-long four-wheeling expedition through the Ouachita National Forest and Ozark National Forest in Arkansas and Oklahoma with this case strapped into the luggage rack on top of my Jeep. There it was subjected to endless impact and vibration as well as direct exposure to tornadic rain and wind (yes, we had some close calls with some twisters).And last night we returned from a week of four-wheeling on the gulf coast, where conditions were such that my windshields glazed over with salt and humidity. This case rode in the back seat of my Jeep and my camera gear was well protected against sand and moisture.My wife complained about the case's weight and the stiffness of the latches. After our trip to Galveston she doesn't complain anymore now that she sees how well it works to protect our expensive equipment.I cannot imagine anything able to damage this case and its contents short of a real bomb. This is a perfect tool to protect your gear if you like to play rough. 5

I just took this case on a trip from Pennsylvania to Arizona. Absolutely no problems using it as my carry-on luggagge. Rugged construction. I picked the 'pick n pluck' foam so I could place camera gear exactly how I wanted it. It took a lot of time to set up, but I know that there's plenty of cushion for everything in my case. 5
