Love this item! It collapses all the way down to the floor to get those impossible shots with any other tripod I've ever worked with before.

I originally purchased this tripod under its previous designation of 3251 w/ a Bogen 501 head around the year 2000. I've been filming weddings and events since that time, and this combo has traveled all over the South with me. It's extremely well built and durable. As a result it is also very heavy. Carrying this tripod in its bag, along with a Pelican 1620 wheeled case loaded up is quite the challenge for a one-man video crew. My favorite feature is the quick release legs and easy leveling using those quick release latches. I can be set up and leveled in about 15 seconds. It's that fast. The other nice feature is the extra long extension legs. You'll have to use your hands, but by releasing the final set of legs manually, gets you about 2 more feet of clearance over peoples heads which does come in handy at weddings and events where you are behind people. Between that and cranking the head column up, you can get your camera to about 8.5 feet in the air. I'm now looking at buying a long camera slider and plan to pick up this newer model due to its sturdiness. I figure it will help ensure the slider is very stable. Overall, I highly recommend this tripod!

This is the ultimate tripod for you if you can take the weight. Totally happy with it and being in your store was an experience in itself. Nice to be able to handle what you want before you buy it. Thumbs up!!!

we're using it for low light interiors and taking multiple shots then stiching them together The quick release legs make is super easy to position on uneven ground. You can get really low for interesting angles. Carry strap means you can lug it around sites easily. It's solid and will last forever

Sturdy Fast Tall. That's the full name of these legs. I have been eyeing it for a while and after testing it at a local camera store, I purchased it. I do Wedding Videography and the way I shoot when a bride comes down the aisle, I'm crouched down low in front then when she gets close I move out to the side and set up to a higher viewing angle. I used to have to undo all my legs but with this I now literally just squeeze a couple buttons/levers and the whole thing pulls right up to standing height. Takes about 3 seconds! No fiddling with latches and levers or doing one leg at a time. Just squeeze and pull the whole thing up and your done! LOVE IT! Of course these legs are sturdy too but a HUGE added bonus was that when I do have a moment and want to set this tripod up to shoot really high up, there are additional adjustments that can be made to bring it up to like 7 or 8 feet. SO NICE! At full height I have to stand on a chair and even then its almost too tall when fully extended. I love that! It is a bit heavy but then again most big sturdy tripods are so it doesn't bother me really and I don't feel like its gonna break on me. I have used Davis & Sanford tripods for a long time so I purchased a FM18 fluid head to go on top for REALLY cheap compared to similar Manfrotto heads and it works great! As for a case, I got a 45 padded case that works great. So far, so good!
