The Movcam Riser Block connects the a7S cage to the 15mm rod bracket while keeping the camera and lens setup at the right height to accommodate 15mm LWS accessories. A lens/adapter support is included and fits right into the groove to reduce stress on the camera's lens mount.

Q: 1. Can you attach a manfrotto plate on the bottom of the riser!!?

A: Yes you can. There is a 1/4 -20 thread on the bottom of the riser which allows you to connect it to a quick release plate.

Q: 2. It says there are 1/4 20 mounting holes on the cage. are there any 3/8 mounting holes as well? it appears like there are two on the handle but i'm not sure if those are just holes or 3/8 mounts.

A: it has 2 X 1/4 and 2 X 3/8 on LEFT, RIGHT and TOP on the handle. NOT on the bottom of the handle.

Q: 3. Will this fit the new, thicker A7iii?

A: No. It will not.

Q: 4. Will this cage fit the new a7sii?

A: The bodies of the cameras are different, especially in the grip area. The Movcam seem to be designed specifically to fit the version I grip, so I suspect not.

Q: 5. Does this riser block & the corresponding base plate fit the Movcam A7sii cage?

A: The Movcam A7SII cage has a different riser block, which we do not yet have available for a separate purchase. We do however have the Movcam Sony A7II/A7SII/A7RII Accessories Kit which comes with the handle, cage, riser block and base plate available at this time.

Q: 6. I lost the screw that connects the cage to the a7s... does anyone know where I can get a replacement? I contacted Movcam and never received an answer. Thank you!

Q: 7. Does this have an HDMI Port Protector ?

A: Yes it does have one

Q: 8. Will this also fit the a7s II?

A: Sorry but No. This cage only works with the A7S version one. The new grip is way bigger and the body is a bit thicker as well.

Q: 9. Does this include the lens support screw that attaches to a metabones adapter?

A: yes

Q: 10. Does this cage allow the use of the Sony XLR-K2M XLR Adapter?

A: Yes. Hot shoe on the top.
