A: Yes, the F6 will automatically switch between power sources when they are depleted or disconnected without interruption, so you can continue to record while switching power sources. The device will prioritize power sources in the following order: USB-C, Sony L Series, AA Batteries.

Q: 5. Does the come with a cold shoe mount on top like the DR-70?

A: The mount on top of the Tascam DR-60DmkII and DR-70D is a camera-mount screw attachment, not a cold shoe mount. This is used to attach the recorder to the tripod mounting socket on the bottom of a camera. The DR-60DmkII and DR-70D recorders both include a tripod mounting socket on the bottom as well. This allows you to mount the camera with the recorder attached together onto a tripod or to just mount the recorder onto a tripod by itself.

Q: 6. Can two F6's be synced together to get 11 or 12 synced inputs?

A: There isn't a direct link function. However, if you connect 2 F-series units (including the F4, F8 or F8n) via the timecode in/out, and you turn audio clock sync on, then the clocks and timecode clocks will be synced. Then you can simply join the audio files from the 2 SD cards in post production.

Q: 7. Lets say I have 4 mono inputs going into the camera. I want to record all 4 but I only want to actively monitor 3 of the 4 during recording. Is there a way of mixing what I monitor during recording? I do this regularly with the Zoom H4N.
