If you've ever wished you could bend your framed LED panel into a shape that conforms to your subject matter, the Fabric-Lite 200W Flexible Bi-Color LED Light from Aladdin is your solution. The Fabric-Lite is literally flexible. Bend the 3 x 3' mat into a u-shape for wrap around lighting, into a cylinder for rim lighting, or for long, elegant highlights on glassware or other reflective objects. Its light weight, negligible heat, and thickness of only 0.25" means you can squeeze it into tight places or use it up close to the talent without fear of hazard.

The Fabric-Lite is also functionally flexible. Color temperature is variable from 2900 to 6200K, and the light is dimmable from 0.5 to 100%. You can make these adjustments locally on the unit or remotely from a console via wired DMX. The fixture also has LumenRadio DMX capability for wireless freedom. The Fabric-Lite also has flexible power requirements. It is ready for worldwide use via the optional 100-240 VAC universal adapter but it will also run on optional V-mount or Gold mount batteries when mains power is unavailable.

This listing is for the LED mat only. It requires a power adapter and dimmer for use.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How do you get DC power to this light?

A: To power the GVM Pro SD200B Bi-Color LED Monolight (200W) use the GVM V-Mount Battery Plate Adapter for SD200R/200D/200S/300S/Pro SD200B LED Lights with the IndiPRO Tools Micro-Series V-Mount Li-Ion Battery (98Wh) or similar V-Mount batteries.

Q: 2. Will the 1x1 run of a Anton Bauer Gold most battery?

A: This panel can run on Anton Bauer Gold Mount batteries with the help of the Litepanels Anton Bauer Gold-Mount Battery Bracket for Astra 1x1 LED Panel B&H # LIABGMBP. Please see the image below.

Q: 3. In the past I've avoided on-camera LED lights because they don't have great diffusion, and I don't like shining a bright light in someone's eyes for a stand up interview.Since these are made as eye lights is it safe to assume they're not too harsh to point directly at an interview subject?

A: Not to get too meta, but the softness of a light source is directly proportional to its relative size to your subject. So in other words, you can put all the diff on a light as you want, but if it's a tiny light, it's going to be hard light. Also don't conflate brightness with softness . This sucker gets really bright, which can feel harsh , but that doesn't have anything to do with it's softness. Long story short, I use this primarily as an eye-light, as the name suggests, not as a key light. So I rarely dim it above like 25% brightness. All I'm looking for is a little ping in the eye, so I don't want it playing on the subject's face at all. If you want a soft on-camera light, the bigger in size you can get the better. This probably isn't the light you're looking for.

Q: 4. how can I mount this on my camera, is BH sell that part?

A: It has a 1/4-20 threaded mount and you can use a variety of mounts. Here are two from Aladdin. Aladdin Shoe Mount with 1/4 -20 Screw B&H # AL02SHOE and the Aladdin Ball Head Clamp with 1/4-20 Screw for Eyelite, A-Lite or Bi-Flex1 B&H # ALFL40CLPPBH.

Q: 5. I would be mainly using these battery powered, so I am leaning towards the EPs because the other Astras (4x brighter) will drain batteries faster a lot faster, correct? Also, to get the 4x up to full power using batteries, let's say Anton Bauers, I'd have to get the digital 150s as opposed to the Digital 90s. I think the EPs drain 55W and the 4x brighter ones drain 110W. That seems like I would be going through a ton more batteries going with the 4x brighter Astras as opposed to the EPs, and batteries wouldn't last nearly as long. Can someone check my logic?

A: I would go with the brighter light. You will need the larger battery but the draw is very small and they last an amazingly long time. you will be very happy you went with the brighter light if you go that route. If you go with a small battery you can always turn the fan off and the Astra will run at 50% brightness if you want to conserve battery and can make due with a dimmer light. But if you have a big batt or plug in you will always have the extra punch if you need it.

Q: 6. Is there an eggshell grid available to fit this M7 kit to control spill or does the biflex 1 grid fit?

A: There is not a grid for the M7.

Q: 7. What kind of light stands does it come with?

A: The stands are the 8.5' LItePanels 900-3031. They are pretty lightweight aluminum. I would definitely recommend some sandbags if you plan on raising them up very far, but they are sturdy enough for these lightweight LED panels. I purchased the kit back in November and am extremely happy with it. Again, the stands could be sturdier, but you can always upgrade them later if you choose.

Q: 8. Anyone have experience putting these in a SnapBag or Chimera built for them? Curious if the Soft Astra has advantages in a soft box over the regular Astras.

A: I use this one as is, without any softbox, and love it. It gives a far stonger ans softer light than the regular astras.

Q: 9. Does it come with any kind of diffusion filter?

A: No. Just the light and a lanyard. Maybe a charge cable, I can't remember (it's a simple micro USB charging jack, you probably already have such a cable) However, let it be known that the swatches from a Lee or Rosco gel swatchbook fit this light perfectly, so attach whichever diffusion you like with a bit of clear double stick tape. However, It's such a physically small source, diffusion the same size of the unit is not really going to soften the light noticeably, for that you would need a larger piece of diffusion. Still, since I use this eyelight for just a bit of, yes, eyelight sparkle, I find that diffusion is Not needed as long as the light is kept on axis with the lens, where sharp shadows don't give it away. Hope this helps.

Q: 10. Are batteries included with this set?

A: The kit comes with one LED160AB light and two LED500B lights. The kit comes with one L battery and charger for the LED160AB light. That is the smaller one in the kit. The other lights use Gold Mount batteries which are not included and are larger capacity. This is a link of one of many batteries and a charger that can work a href= http://bhpho.to/1aVkALP target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1aVkALP/a and a href= http://bhpho.to/1x73Iq0 target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1x73Iq0./a
