Q: 1. I am having trouble with this transmitter on 2 parts. Using this transmitter with the Bowens XMT500s1. I can not get the XMTR transmitter on my Nikon D750 to go into TTL Mode. I have been up and down the menu in the transmitter and it will only stay in STR. For something that should be rather simple it has now crossed into frustrating. I have followed the instructions, but still wont go into TTL. What am I missing? 2. On my Nikon once the transmitter is in the hot shoe, I can not crank shutter speed over 1/250th to engage HSS. I have gone into the menu and engaged the 1/250th (Auto FP) but the camera will not roll past 1/250th. Any help or suggestions are appreciated!

A: We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble. It would be best to e-mail this directly regarding this issue to cs@bandh.com.

Q: 2. Will this trigger an Odin receiver for canon? Just fire the flash, not control power or use TTL.

A: Unfortunately, the Phottix Odin receivers cannot be triggered by this transmitter.

Q: 3. does this work for Acute 2 systems?

A: This will not work on an Acute 2.

Q: 4. I want to use this with my Phase One 645. What is the fastest sync speed, and will it fire my Nikon Odin II receivers? I wish there was an adaptor that could allow me to simply use my Phottix Nikon Odin II transmitter.

A: The trigger does not support High Speed Sync. The sync speed you can get from the Phase One 645 is 1/125. The trigger does work with the Nikon Odin II receivers but in manual only.

Q: 5. Do I need this adapter to be able to use the FJ 80 Flash unit on my Sony as well as trigger for the FJ200's and FJ400's. I need to know if it is required for the Flash Unit FJ 80?

A: Yes. The following is needed in order to communicate with Sony onboard system.

Q: 6. How do you know if you need to replace the light (tube) my firing is getting less consistent. Or will the thing just stop working all together? It's pretty pricey and I don't want to have to buy a new one if this isn't the case.

A: The flash tube needs to be replaced when you are getting no flash out of the Profoto head. Tubes can easily be replaced by a plug and play procedure.

Q: 7. I am using Fuji GFX cameras. What trigger do I need to use the Indra 500 strobe and get TTL and HSS?

A: The Phottix Odin Lite Flash Trigger Transmitter BH #PH89090 is manual only. Phottix does not currently have a TTL and HSS capable Fuji transmitter.

Q: 8. Is this (Ares II) compatible with the older Ares (not Ares II) receivers?

A: The Ares II and Ares are not compatible with each other.

Q: 9. Will the Ares II Flash Trigger Transmitter work with a Phottix Atlas II receiver? 1 of my 2 units went south on me.

A: I contacted Phottix concerning your inquiry. According to Phottix, no, the Phottix Atlas II receiver is not compatible for use with the Phottix Ares II transmitter. The Phottix Atlas II and Phottix Ares II have different frequencies and are not compatible with one another. The Phottix Ares II would be compatible with the Odin II, Strato II, and Odin Lite line of remote triggers and they recommend upgrading to the newer Ares II flash triggers.

Q: 10. Will this transmitter work on older models like the Gemini 400s?

A: No, the Bowens XMTRN Flash Trigger for Nikon is not compatible with the older Bowens Gemini monolights. It is only compatible for use with the Bowens XMT500 Monolight Flash Head.

I have used other Speedlight/controller combos, but this Godox unit is the easiest to set up and use daily that I have ever had. I use it with the Godox AD200Pro and it is an easy combination to transport, set up on site and use with no issues.
